This is all on a gigantic credit card right now," said Jared Thomas, a taxpayer advocate.Millions more dollars have been sent to places like Cyprus. The State Department displays before and after pictures of mosques refurbished with U.S. tax dollars."I think it is very hard to explain to the American taxpayer right now whose having an extraordinary time paying bills and making ends meet that this is why we took this out of your paycheck, so we can fund this," said Thomas.The State Department declined a Channel 2 Action News request for an interview.

Because the American government doesn't work for the American people.

We live in a fascist society where the tax payer helps out big business and help appease their friends overseas while we pick up the tab.

Either that or give them a different reason not to be your enemy when their military is under the people's control. After all the US just did support the oppression of the Egyptian people for 30 years.

I read that he had it set up that it was the law that any company wanting to do business in Egypt (like say...oil companies) had to have a citizen of Egypt as their partner.

So guess who that "partner" always was? That's how the guy had billions in banks all over the world.

why aid is given to any country is beyond me. they don't do shit for the US so why should the US do anything for them?

USAID is giving money (they don't have) to many countries...
I think it's a way of spreading "democracy" to the 3rd world countries...
