Wow that was a HUGE sonic boom

My daughter came running over to my house scared shitless. I thought my propane tank I use for the hot tub exploded. Damn, still shaking lol

Dirty D 03-09-2011 10:06 AM

propane tank for a hot tub? interesting...

TripleXPrint 03-09-2011 10:18 AM

I felt it as well...I thought a car ran into the side of my house. I'm used to them but this one was much louder than any I've experienced in the past. I'm right over the approach, too.

CS-Jay 03-09-2011 10:20 AM

We're in Palm Beach, and I didn't hear it at all. Dammit!

It's expensive to run but it heats it up very fast

thats what I was thinking - i know how expensive propane can be.

I have a standard 240V ( i think ) hot tub and i never really have an issue with it warning up. It auto kicks on as soon as it drops below whatever temp (normally 103 ) i have it set on.

Shuttle Discovery has landed.

Tom_PM 03-09-2011 10:35 AM

Was gonna say, 11:58 eastern time is exactly when the shuttle landed.

SCOOTER 03-09-2011 10:41 AM

Last I heard it's actually more expensive than electricity now which is crazy. I'd love to get a cabin somewhere which only uses wood for heat. It'd be a great way to stay in shape by having to cut all the firewood.

We get loud sonic booms here on the island all the time. They shake the house and scare the shit out of me. Here are a couple articles on them.

Well this is inground built into the pool deck. When it's not on heat mode water is sucked from the pool to the pump then to the spa where it overflows back into the pool. When you turn the heat on it stops overflowing into the pool. I've never seen a inground electric spa before. But yeah it costs about $25 to heat it up, but it gets to 108 in like 30 minutes if its 40F outside. 15 minutes if its 70 F outside. I have a portable like yours also but its in the back empty.

how expensive is expensive? we use propane for house water heater, stove and dryer :) and it is actually cheaper than going electric.

Sharky 03-09-2011 11:02 AM
