quick briefing on bandwidth?
I am a total newb, right now I have a blog that im looking to switch over to a tube site very soon. I get 4k+ views everyday I expect to be in the tens of thousands everyday when i launch the website and eventually want to build up to millions of views a day. What how much would server cost be initially? (tens of thousands a day) and if I can get my traffic that high? (millions a day) Is it a monthly fee? anual fee? set up cost??? THANKS!

Also are do live cams and hd videos require more bandwidth?

It depends if you will host the videos on your server.
You can check prices at Certified Hosting and if you buy a dedicated server, they offer you one month server for free or 2 months with 50% discount PS: free service until your old server cancels* |
@twerktube, svzcom is correct, if you host your own videos the yes as you grow your bandwidth needs will grow, however if you don't host your videos and just embed them like most tube sites, the your bandwidth needs will be very low.
For a quick and simple example, sexyfilms.tv a tube site I setup and left on automation with no traffic no ads no nothing. This site gets about 25k hits a day, and uses 150MB's of bandwidth. Yes MB's not GB's or TB's. Thanks, Anthony |
whats the difference in hosting or not hosting your own videos?
