I haven't tried popping dating sites but I do pop GF sites and it converts decently for a popup. Honest question: if I bought some premium amateur/gf popups and it never converts why would that be? I don't see why the traffic would only convert on dating..?

What is a typical decent ratio on popups anyhow? Is 1:5000 good?

Dating, cams, tube sites in that order do best with popunders, I dont recomend sending pops to porn paysites, but if I were I would try GF paysites, they seem to be converting better than your average run of the mill paysite.

Something you might want to look at before buying that kind of traffic is perhaps trying to test out some geotargeted landers.

I haven't noticed any ex-gf sites doing that, but it might up the conversion and get popped pages performing more like they do with dating sites.

Something along the lines of "See REAL Girls from Lakeland" or "See Hot Sluts from Lakeland Exposed!"

I don't know if that would create an unreasonable expectation for your product, not even sure which ex gf site we're talking about, but wanted to throw that out there as some food for thought. :2 cents:

Converts on what sort of site? Popunders are $1.25, dating sites generally speaking consider each paid upgrade worth $100. So even at 1 signup for every 50k pops, thats $62.50 in traffic for a $100 signup.

Thanks for the bumps, over 500k hits a day of this traffic, I have sold 2 thirds of it, still have about 7k per hour leftover.

Well that means for $150 you were down $50, you just barely made that 2nd sale to hit $200 and made your money back with a little to spare, and if you kept the campaign going it could easily be a loss. I'm not trying to put your traffic down or anything, I just don't see how premium countries could perform so bad? Is it the kind of popup that flashes on the screen for a split second or the nice sneaky fullscreen one? I've never popped a paysite and done worse than 1:10000 and that's BAD. At 1:60000 I would have BEEN trying something else.

What payment options do you have? I guess I need to start using a few other places besides PayPal.

It's not a matter of the traffic performing bad, its a simple matter of people just dont join and pay for porn as much as they used to. If they did this board would be busy like it was 5 years ago. Dating and cams are doing great and show no signs of letting up. If you can find popunders for 1.25 per k that do 1:10000 on porn sites, then you wouldnt have time to be posting here, you would be too busy counting your money.

I've seen some cam and ex gf sites doing this, their pages look exactly like a fuckbook dating site. No idea how well they convert though.

It is a matter of the traffic performing bad, people very much so still buy porn.

Celebs are converting horribly for me so I'll use that as an example. Buy targeted click traffic at $3-4 per k, send to landing page with a popunder, landing page has links to paysite tour (I should be sending them to the join page but I haven't changed it) and converts around 1:4000, popunder loads paysite tour and converts around 1:9000-1:11000. So the popunder basically pays off the traffic buy and makes a little to spare, and the landing page is all profit. This is HORRIBLE for me, and the traffic is coming from all 3 tiers (mostly tier1), but it still easily makes a decent profit. I'm not sure how you get such bad ratios but you can't possibly be dealing with premium traffic or even anything decent, targeted or anything. Why would your targeted tier1 traffic be any different from mine?

Poptraffic is the worst. But the poptraffic choker is selling is crap. Ask him what sites will be sending this "premium" traffic :winkwink:

You pay $3 to 4 per k to a page with a popunder, so those popunders are costing you $4 to $5 per k to produce considering some people have popunder blockers. Again these popunders are 1.25 per k, considering price if they converted at 1:30k on the site your talking about then that would be the same cost as your 1:11000 popunders.

According to your stats you spend $16 on traffic make 1 signup at 1:4000 lets say $35 per signup, then you make another half a signup from the pops lets make it low and say that's $10, so your making $45 on $16 of traffic. Knock off $5 for hosting that page we are at $40 net with $21 in cost.
