Quick introduction to Talia from Payoneer

Hi guys,

I wanted to quickly introduce myself (I of course asked for permission from the admins). I am Talia, the new Director of Community at Payoneer. I've spent the last few days going over old posts (I've commented on a couple) to get an idea of how things work here.

I realize that we have not been present on forums in the past, but this is changing starting now. I will be monitoring these forums and answering any questions and clearly any misconceptions that appear.

I would like each of you to feel free to contact me about anything - questions, comments, suggestions - anything you can think of. I can assure you, an assurance that will be proven through actions, that I AM here and I AM listening. I hope to gain your trust quickly.

Just so you know, we not only have written customer support (including support in several languages), but also live chat and direct phone call options - the phone is listed on our support page in simple view.

Over the past few months, we experienced a huge growth in customers, which is great for us, but as a result we have had to increase our customer support team. We are hiring new people all the time and we hope to catch up and go back to answering emails rapidly like before.

Until then, you can all contact me personally for any help you need. I promise I will answer - even on weekends, though my access to information may be a bit more limited on the weekends.

I hope to hear from all of you soon. Have a great day!

greg80 03-17-2011 01:49 PM

wow, this is great, thanks a lot! Gives more trust to payoneer!

Talia_Payoneer 03-17-2011 01:52 PM

Thanks, Greg! Nice to meet you.

Just to clarify, I meant my access may be a bit more limited on the weekends :-)

Astro$ 03-17-2011 02:00 PM

Great news!!..
How to ask questions? Use this topic?

Deputy Chief Command 03-17-2011 02:02 PM

are you going to keep on sucking ?

Talia_Payoneer 03-17-2011 02:09 PM

@Astro$ (I'm originally from Houston, so I am loving your handle): You can write here, open a new thread (preferable), or contact me directly (also preferable). I will come on the forums and see what's going on all the time, not just on posts I have already commented on or started, don't worry.

@Deputy Chief Command: Challenge accepted. :-) I don't think we suck at all. I have known Payoneer for years - I worked at one of the Partners who sent payments. Let me know specifically what it is that you think sucks or that you'd like to improve so I know an have specific examples. I can't promise that things will be changed immediately, just like they can't be anywhere else. But if we see that a large number of people are asking for something in particular, we will definitely strongly consider the suggestion. That's what I'm here for.

Lay it on me. :-)

vdbucks 03-17-2011 02:09 PM

When you guys get on paxums level let me know...

DEA: You make it sound like it's some conspiracy when the 15000+ Payoneer customers in adult already know the answer. Had you been at InterNEXT you would have heard it first hand along with the rest of us. Heck you could have even asked Paxum as they were there too I think Ruth and Pearl and Mollie did a great job on the panel.

Not at all.

Just as any business can use a banks services without being owned by the bank itself.

Edit: I didn't see that this was already addressed.

You obviously either don't have a Payoneer card or can't read. On the backside of each card, it says, in clear writing Choice Bank, Belize. Nothing hidden at all. One has to be either illiterate or stupid beyound belief to miss it!

I like my Payoneer card but think it could be more open about exchange rates. When I withdraw money in another currency than USD obviously an exchange takes place. It's not shwn in the control panel for my account what rate was used, that leaves room for improvement.

Yup. Just like CCBill used Epoch for many many years. It's a bank. People move money through them. This shouldn't come as a surprise at all.

This is a small industry. Nobody is on an island.

LOL just go pick a cam model and pay them to show you their tits. That way you are helping Payoneer or Paxum :)

Maybe if you went first it would help kick things off? :)

8 months ago they could have eaten up a massive part of this industries business by simply answering people, but they didn't. They missed an opportune time to take over, that happened, nothing baseless or misinformed there.

pinkeyedjim 03-18-2011 12:24 PM

We recently set up our affiliate program to work with Payoneer. I'm hoping it draws us in a few more partners. Welcome Talia!

RaiderCash_Dominik 03-18-2011 12:38 PM

Any other way to get $ from Payoneer besides ATM? Your ATM fees are ridiculous !!!

Not sure what data you are working from but that's exactly what they did. When ePassporte passed, Payoneer saw about an 800% uptake in their services in this market and they were getting something like 500-1000 applications a day for cards.

They signed just about every major customer of ePassporte's. That includes:

LiveJazmin.com
MyFreeCams.com
IMLive.com
StreamMates.com
VODmoney.com

and PayServe and HusterCash and soo many others. Maybe you just aren't that aware of their customer base.....

In all fairness, LiveJasmin or AWE offered Payoneer cards and payments even before epassporte went out of business. But most of the others are correct.

P2P is working since a month ago i think at a cost of 0,50

adultzone 03-18-2011 07:35 PM

What you have to do is this.

Put down all your high fees!
Loading your card must be free
Loading an account to another account should be low fee.

You want to be rich in just 10 seconds because of high fees of your company. And remove automotive customer support don't hire Indian as a customer support. And it should 24/7 customer support.

I'd rather he doesn't, if that's OK with you. :Oh crap:

@jdoughs - I don't think so, with all due respect. I think that as long as you're around, you can always change things - as a company or as an individual.

@bbobby and @pinkeyed - Thanks!

@Raidercash - could you show me specifically where you have much cheaper ATM fees? I just got back from a 4-month trip (Thailand, Australia, New Caledonia, China, and Japan) and I can assure you that every single one of those countries took a higher ATM fee than what we offer at Payoneer. This is from my personal experience, not someone just feeding me information.

@Adraco and LatinCams - It's a good point. Do you mean exchange rates once you have already made a transaction or to have them listed ahead of time? Keep in mind that exchange rates change every single day.

@automotive Thanks for being frank. About customer support, we don't have Indian customer support - our support is largely US and British-born, we don't have anyone sitting in India. :1orglaugh:

They've already implemented p2p a while ago. Where have you been lately?

Chosen 03-19-2011 07:43 AM

Talia, people being charged "crossborder fees" for USD transactions outside of US.
Instead of $3 ATM withdrawal fee for $500 they are charged $13, and for higher withdrawal amounts even more.
That's what people mean when they say your ATM fees are ridiculous.

CamTraffic 03-19-2011 07:53 AM

How many banks back you up
where are they located?

why does it cost money to transfer money from the wallet to the card and why does it take a couple of days for that transfer while everyone else does it within a minute?

that it can be quicker shows your "express fee" - which is a rip off since the same happens, just faster

After money has been withdrawn, after the transaction was made.

Talia, LatinCams speak for both of us here.

Right now, when a withdrawal has been made this is what I see if I click the specific transaction:

Date: 02/16/2011 TIME

Auth Number: (removed the numbers)

Cash Disbursement International
Bank Name
City
Country

USD Amount to charge: $368.00

And then I would like the foreign amount debited
the exchange rate used
which then sums up to $xxx USD
plus fees totalling $x USD
Which then amounts to a total of $368 as charged above.

Now that would be great, now there's no way to distinguish between what is fees and what exchange rate is being used for any conversions.

Right! Talia check out this my old thread about your crossborder fees

http://www.gfy.com/fucking-around-and-business-discussion/996423-lolll-payooner-charge-cross-border-fee-p2p-transaction.html

and about your p2p this is what you answered me:

Quote:

Please note that as you have been informed in our previous emails, when you are making a transaction in a form of a private load, you are being charged twice.

One fee is the 3.75% per transaction for the private load itself.

Second fee is the cross border fee which is up to 3% per transaction, any transaction you make in US $.
so we pay 6.75% for a simple p2p transaction...if i transfer 1000$ i must pay 67,5$ for your fees ? I think this is a steal.

RaiderCash_Dominik 03-21-2011 11:47 PM

Bump it for answers of your fees especially that cross-border fee that you charge.
What is cross-border fee?

Talia_Payoneer 03-22-2011 12:53 AM

The cross border fee isn't a Payoneer fee, but a MasterCard fee. The money here doesn't go to us, it's taken by MasterCard. Every bank has a cross-border fee for transactions that take place outside of their own country. You can Google it and see it's a MasterCard fee :-)

When I send IDs into Payoneer I worry that the owner will give my identification to Mossad to commit terrorist crimes.

How has Payoneer distanced itself from Israeli terrorism and what guarantees do I have that my money/identification won't be misused??

Is your CEO still Yuval Tal, a former Israeli special forces operative? Can you honestly say that the money we put with you guys and the IDs we have to send in won't be used by Yuval Tal's friends the way British, Australian and other IDs were used in the past by those same friends?

CamTraffic 03-22-2011 04:20 AM

can you answer the other questions?
