Should the porn industry use condoms?

http://www.cosmopolitan.co.uk/cm/cos...9631869811.jpg

Responsible adults know condoms protect against a litany of life-threatening diseases. Porn performers have more sex with more people, so surely they have more need to use condoms.

But some of the biggest names in porn are against mandating condom use?despite being the ones at risk.

Porn producer Ernest Greene agrees:

?Condoms are fine for ordinary folks, but they?re not suited to porn. I allow two and a half hours to shoot a typical boy-girl sex scene. With constant stops and starts, condoms frequently tear?and abrasion on female performers? vaginas make them vulnerable to STIs.?

In a word No

No, better let them check for STDs very often.

Just make a "safe sex" niche and move on with it ...

plsureking 03-23-2011 08:46 AM

your dad should have used a condom.

It's not a matter of yes or no. As was suggested - continual STD checks and allowing the model to request what they prefer is the best answer. Socially it is good since it will teach people who view adult content that "if the big boys use it we should". That is important since not to many have tests done much less think about the consequences

Whenever i see a condom in porn i think to myself the guy thinks the girl is some mega slut and is worried he will catch an STD. A real turn off.

Sometimes condom sex is really hard work

AtlantisCash 03-24-2011 05:27 AM

Thread title is missleading imho.

if You ask "Should condom be mandate or not"? My answer simply would be no, Because it's not governments business to force people to use it, individuals must decide for that.

if Your mean was "do i advise"? then i would say, it's up to them, but better to take std checks more often.

Considering they stick their head in the sand and refuse to mandatory test for ALL STDs, then the answer is YES.

You are correct, however, the industry gives a false illusion to those who are coming into it that so long as they test for HIV at AIM, they are safe. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Lets be honest here, the majority (not all) of the guys and girls getting into porn are not the brightest. They will foolishly believe what they are told and put all their trust in AIM and whatever their agent tells them. Many girls are easily manipulated into acts they don't want to do.

Like I said in my other post, until the industry mandatory tests for ALL STDs, then condoms should be used. All talent should have the right to know if they are working with someone who has herpes or hepatitis, and the industry should back this right. It is reckless of them not to do so.
