USD down 42% 2001-2011 against SEK.

Whats going on in the US of A?

In 2001 I got 10,95 swedish crowns for every 1 USD. Now I only getting 6,34.
So the USD is down 42% against the swedish crowns and that suck.

Will the USD be as strong as back in 2001 do you tink?:helpme

Will USA be the new Thailand?

Well, you should take a look at the programs in Europe (and paying in Euro).

SEK > EUR 2001 around 9,xxxx SEK = 1 EUR
SEK > EUR today 8,9295 SEK = 1 EUR

Same shit up here in Canada, we used to get $1300-$1400 per $1,000 US now we're lucky to get $950.

This shows clearly why you should always try to have your major costs in the same currency as your main income. Because otherwise you take on a huge currency exchange risk.

Say you had a server in Sweden but income in USD and the server costed you 100 SEK per month (in 2001 say $10)

So now, your server still costs 100 SEK but you would now have to pay ~$15 since it's now at around 6 SEK per USD or something.

Clearly shows what risks are involved in doing cross border businesses. It can of course go the other way around too, so it's a game of ups and downs.
