DWB 03-24-2011 07:34 AM

No worries, you only have to worry about tsunamis down there.

Yup.

That's a doozy. Depending on where it hit up there, that place may be in rubble. Their buildings are built much like Haiti. A good shake and it all falls down. Most of SE Asia is like that.

Rochard 03-24-2011 07:41 AM

7.0 is up there.... .

About 2 hours drive from Bangkok.

Was just a quick shake. Nothing major, but I felt it. We used to get little tremors like that in Ohio from time to time. Just enough to let you know it's there.

I'm outside Pattaya City, and yea I felt a shake here.

Thai TV reporting it was felt as far as Trat, which is much further than Pattaya.

This area will have fallen into the sea by then. Building an Ark out of 1.5 liter plastic bottles, I'll make room for ya.

Kiopa_Matt 03-24-2011 09:40 AM

We drink so many of these, if I would have kept them all there is no doubt in my mind I could have build a serious flotation device capable of saving an entire city.

Would have figured you would have felt something there. Funny how that works. But it will shake large buildings in Bangkok and Hanoi.
