I'm getting one for my son. He's been using the same DS for a couple years now and is due for this upgrade.

I'm reading that most people aren't digging the 3D and are shutting it off.

I've got a bunch on pre-order, as they're supposed to be in short supply.

Yeah the 3d seems to be getting a lukewarm response - the AR games that come free with it look amazing though.

Interesting... but who am I to judge? My son will love it no doubt.

I've heard a few reports saying it can give you a sore head. Which isn't good news for kids who will no doubt be on the thing for hours each day.

Rather expensive too for a handheld...

Ah well if your kid has never played Zelda Ocarina of time then make sure you pick that up for him when it comes out.

I don't know about this one. Fooling your eyes to create an image that is not really there sounds to me like setup for eye and neurological problems if you play for extended periods of time. Remember the virtual boy?

BUT, this is Nintendo we are talking about and they know their stuff so I am not sure they would put out a product they where not 100% sure was reasonably safe.

I'm getting my 3DS tomorrow along with Super Street Fighter!
Can't wait till I get my hands on it..

btw Nintendo has stated that young children shouldn't be playing it, since it can be bad for their eyes..

I'm more excited about the 3D smartphones from LG and HTC.

BTW, most of the reviews I've read have been raving about the 3D effect on the Nintendo 3DS. I read one article that claimed that serious competitive gamers switch off the 3D to improve performance.

What I'd like to know from any of the 3D porn sponsors on here is whether you are planning to create material to work on these new handheld devices?

Interesting fact : the number of Nintendo 3DS pre-orders alone exceeds the total number of 3D TVs sold in the UK last year.
