First off Chicago style pizza is not pizza... it's a casserole. Pizza doesnt need to be eaten with a fork

I've ordered from there and had them shipped to vegas overnight... shipping is like 25 bucks so its best to get at least 4 pizzas (they aren't huge).

They are great :thumbsup:thumbsup

best tasting IMO is giordanos. But Lou's is great with better ambience. Also, I heard giordanos was in bankruptcy, probably too many locations.

Piece in wicker park. I'm actually having a slice at santullos right next door now which is also good (ny style). Piece is a great brewery also btw.

Figures you'd say that. NYers think some cheese and a bit of sauce on a cracker is pizza. It's called pizza PIE. Ever seen a PIE?

thickcash_amo 03-24-2011 05:55 PM

Hmmm Pizza! Does the shipped pizza come out ok?

Yes its ok, you get the idea of its potential.... but nothing beats the real thing. nothing beats fresh Lou's pizza and same thing with garretts, you can get it shipped to you but you gotta get garretts popcorn at the source

Lou's tomatoes are freaking awesome.

order the 4 pack to make shipping worth it.

The sausage pizzas are their best selling.

They take about 40 minutes to bake in the oven... but they all 4 will fit, so throw a party.

Not as good as being there, but, damn tasty for a "frozen pie"

If your in "the loop" go downstairs and try some dinner an Gino's pizza in the pan. The waitress will bring it out in a giant frying pan that takes her two hands to lift. Good ol' Chicago style deep dish pizza at it's finest. Gives me wood just thinking about it.

my old neighborhood, glad they're still around. Was there when they first opened 2005'ish. Also fine just for drinks as you said. (which leads to pizza)

just remembered, Piece was on real world chicago.

Someone sent me a half dozen pizzas from Gino's for the Holidays. I wasnt expecting much from a pizza that came 2k miles to taste good after having eaten there and had it fresh. I must say, while it obviously wasnt the same as having it come straight from the kitchen, it was dam good.
