WARNING: AIM performer database has been compromised

By MikeSouth
March 28th, 2011

If you have ever tested at AIM or any of AIM's satellite draw stations all of your information is now in the hands of people who shouldn't have it.

This started with a site that popped up with pretty much every performer's ID info on it. Everyone was wondering how that information got out, males, females everyone. It started being whispered that it was sold by one or more companies or that it was supplied with screeners, then it started being whispered that it was from AIM.

Now proving something like this would be difficult except, people started emailing me saying "I only used that performer name one time, ever and that was when I tested at AIM." First I verified two people, then two more both of whom shot only one time, but were required to get an AIM test. All made up a performer name and of the four two never even used the same name on a model release and one never even shot, the shoot fell through. Yet all the names and hundreds even thousands of others appear on this real name list on this site.

Incidentally I have never tested at AIM and my name does NOT appear on this list, even though my real name is readily available to anyone who wants to find it.

If you have ever tested at AIM you may want to call them, or better yet send them a certified letter demanding that all of your info be removed from their database. Even though the damage is done, it is clear that AIM has no direct knowledge how it happened so it could and probably will happen again.

*** Personal note from me: The very first time I tested with AIM many years back, I had to list a stage name on the form. At that time I didn't have one, as I was shooting the content for myself. I made one up on the spot and it was NEVER used and never written or spoken anywhere but on that AIM form. This is the exact name that was leaked and AIM Healthcare is the only place on earth who ever had it. :Oh crap

not only not a dr. but also not a very good webmaster

That's crazy that a company who claims to be there to help the performers has put them in harms way. I just seen one crazy guy tweeting Capri Anderson's family information which he could have gotten with her real life information from AIM.

So you know it came from there, good heads up.

It's really easy to surf through the AIM database... I've wondered about the security of that.

Old news doesn't make it any less important.

While the producers or male talent really don't have anything to worry about, as a female in the industry, I would be horrified if my real name got out there like that. That was the whole argument behind fighting aspects of 2257, to protect the models privacy. Remember? But all of that is out the window now. But it doesn't end there. Now that these names are out, people on that site are using them to track down personal information, and are posting the girls home address, her parents address (photos of parents), her parents place of employment, phone numbers, her landlord's phone number, employment history, you name it, it's all going online NOW because of this list, as old as it may be.

And for the girls who are having their home address (along with photos of their residence) and parents information put online for the world to see, ask them if it's the crime of the century or not. By the looks of what I'm reading, some of these girls are completely flipping out, as they should be.

So while you're right, this may be old news for producers in Porn Valley, this is new news to the talent. And that is who is at risk here, not any of you behind the camera. But I'd wager if someone put producers or company owners info online with photos of them, photos of their homes, kids, cars, parents, parents place of employment and phone numbers, most would flip out. People can't even handle a message board when people TALK about their family. How do you think everyone would deal when photos of their family popped up online with their phone numbers?

the AIM data base was put there for producers to check test and as long as creepos like donny long are around this kind of stuff is gonna happen. no home adress, just stage names and real names to check test against ID's :2 cents:
