Site has been sold. Thanks to those who inquired.

why was the bounce rate 65%?

robwod 03-29-2011 11:22 AM

Pristine, not that it matters now since the site is sold and being transferred to new ownership. The site was built to send traffic to sponsors, not built to have people hanging around browsing for free to deliver ad views. It was meant to keep the focus relevant, deliver what someone was looking for, and help them get to the sponsor as quickly as possible. It did/does this well.

Higher bounce rates do not always translate to poor quality. In fact, in this case, it was pretty fine tuned for it's intended purpose.

bump 4 you Rob :thumbsup:thumbsup

has the new owner been informed of the high bounce rate

robwod 03-29-2011 12:45 PM

Pristine: Of course. There is/was no hidden agenda. In any case, this is a done deal. There is no point further discussing it. Clearly the site was not for you, which is fine. However it was suitable for several others and it came down to whomever paid first. Site is sold, case closed. You didn't want it. No problem, good luck.
