I would guess the lot of them were worthless bums, and he was probably on some sort of disability. So the other two were most likely cashing his checks for him and sponging off of him.

(edit: not sure if they have disability payments like that in Ohio, around here that is what all the crazy, lazy people collect so they can survive without working)
