What CMS runs on Wordpress?

Please list all that you know of. I have a small project that needs to run on WP. Thanks.

Also, if you know of any to stay away from, please list those as well. Thanks.

By CMS, do you mean one for running a paysite/member's area?

Because for all intents and purposes, Wordpress IS a CMS.

:upsidedow Yea, I wasn't clear. My bad.

Members area back end. Something that is already set up to stream videos, list galleries, and so on. I found AdultSiteCMS.com but was curious what else is out there. That seems to have all the features this project needs, but figured there are several other options to compare.

And yes, I know WP is a CMS, but I'd rather get something out of the box ready to go on this instead of having to template something new.

Thank you! I'd like to thank all the fake nicks, haters, has-beens and wannabes... my agent, GFY, and of course and most of all, I want to thank God. Without him, none of this would be possible.

AdultSiteCMS is the only one built on Wordpress and ready to go, as far as I know.

There's your problem. You need to get something bespoke made up. All the pre-made stuff is half assed shit.

wp-wishlist is a good members area plugin, quite powerful,

SmutHammer 03-30-2011 11:05 AM

I thought about using it, and still wonder at times if I should have gone that route.....

fris 03-30-2011 11:54 AM

wish list with a content dripping plugin is the best route for a non adult member site

LOL when I read the title of this thread again. Goes to show that I shouldn't post until I'm awake, alert and had a cup of Joe.

we do custom CMS based on WP with all the features of any CMS out there... plus some more. We'll be launching a simpler version as standalone pretty soon since we're testing it out, but even the simpler version has more features than anything you might have seen until now. Let alone it's 1000x easier to manage, 1000000x easier to modify in any and every way you could dream of, open source... well, you can figure it out.

Just as a teaser: creating a full update with 4/5 video delivery options, rotating thumbs, galleries with social features, automatic content delivery based on device (mobile, iPad, PC) and more takes just 3-4 minutes (using 250Mb videos on average) and..... 1 click. This alone is way ahead of what you may know now... and it's just the tip of the iceberg :winkwink:

in fact it's not that wrong. WP can be considered as a CMS, or as an engine. Depending on what you do with it, it could be a "ready to go CMS" or just the core engine for another CMS (like in our case)
