CIA is running Libya rebels (Al Qaeda)

It's official. Not a "conspiracy theory."

CIA officers working with Libya rebels

CIA officers are on the ground in Libya, coordinating with rebels and sharing intelligence, U.S. officials say, but the Obama administration has not yet decided whether to take the further step of providing weapons to those trying to oust Moammar Kadafi.

How many different way are there to spell Gadaffiy? Apparently, around 500.

Yeah, someone should really inform the US government they're going the wrong direction on this "war on terror". Went into Afghanistan to get al-Qaeda. Great! Then went into Iraq, even though Iraq didn't have any al-Qaeda (have lots now though!). Now they're actually helping and training al-Qaeda (again!).

Wrong direction boys!

Serious note though, this might actually be great. Hopefully this results in a bunch of investigative journalism, and some good documentaries that are broadcast heavily, showing the US and al-Qaeda are pretty good buddies, and have been ever since the US invented al-Qaeda.

There is about 112 ways to spell, Muammar Qaddafi, but in the CIA Factbook its spelled: Col. Muammar Abu Minyar al-QADHAFI

But this takes the cake... :1orglaugh

Nothing unusual. Everything goes as it should. Did you forgot that al-Qaeda is a CIA project? Do you really believe CIA will leave it's child (al-Qaeda) alone without any help? Don't be so naive man.

bbobby86 03-31-2011 01:16 AM

al-Qaeda is a CIA project... wow...

Have you spent last 30 years in a bunker? :)

1) Osama bin Laden was a CIA agent. Didn't you know that?
2) Taliban was grown in Pakistan by CIA as a "controllable Islamic power" against the USSR in Afghan war. Didn't you know that?
3) Osama bin Laden was a CIA agent and Taliban fighter during Soviet military action in Afghanistan. Didn't you know that?
4) al-Qaeda, headed by Osama bin Laden is a most famous militant group of Taliban. Didn't you know that?

So let's repeat the new knowledge.

conditions:
Osama bin Laden + Taliban is a CIA project.
Osama bin Laden + Taliban fighters is al-Qaeda
conclusion:
al-Qaeda is a CIA project

If that is true wouldn't that mean Obama is committing treason? I doubt the president of the United States would arm and fund the very people we are fighting.

your logic is both stupid and uninformed...

money went to the taliban to fight the russians from the cia, it didn't go to al qaeda. That doesn't make bin laden a cia agent either. cia agents are those dudes in suits in virginia... He was an ASSET at the time. The difference between agent and asset is so big it's not even worth explaining...

TheDoc 03-31-2011 06:26 AM

The CIA did create Al Qaeda, that is a fact. And Osama DID work/hired/trained/funded/taken care of, etc.. for and by the CIA, that is a fact.

I expect the CIA is actually funding/pushing, fighting both sides of the fight.. we're just hearing about this side.

Wake up an smell the roses (better said the reek of dead bodies).

Every major nation's intel agency is active these days in Libya and they have been there for a long time... US, UK (remember the MI-6 men held by the rebels prior to the current NATO military action)? Probably FSB (Russia), Chinese intelligence, General Directorate for External Security (French: Direction Générale de la Sécurité Extérieure, or DGSE) and others ...?

"[T]hat is good and bad news. On the one hand, it is disconcerting that social networks sympathetic to al Qaeda were able to mobilize a force of such size and determination in a matter of months; it suggests that they could do the same thing today. On the other hand, the fact that the surge was the work of a small number of distinct networks may indicate that support for al Qaeda is concentrated in particular tribal, religious, or social communities, rather than dispersed throughout a broader swath of Libyan society." ...
