Looks interesting. The whole financial system is a joke the way it works.

Might watch it again at the weekend. Seems that Greenspan caused a lot of trouble and the amount of people related to Goldman Sachs and what they are doing in the government is quite shocking. :disgust

Without proper legislation these guys were allowed to do as they pleased.

They repeated the process that brought about the Depression. Buying and selling $1 bills for $2. And paying themselves a huge bonus on the back of non existent profits.

Saw it coming was the weak answer. Remembered it happening the same way as before and doing nothing to stop it. Was the right answer.

Is legislation in place to stop it happening again?

No because for a short while Governments profit from the illusion. Then when the shit hits the fan, they bail out the banks who restart the process.

Yep! Was quite interesting to learn some of the problem stretches to Harvard or stems from Harvard and other big colleges/universities. Didn't see that coming.

Not quite. It was more to do with the CDOs, AIG, Investment Banks, Leverage Ratios, Credit Ratings etc. Lot's of factors. Wasn't the same thing that caused the Depression, because the things that caused it weren't allowed or didn't exist when that occured.

No it isn't.

And a lot of the people who caused problems have jobs in government :disgust
