is it right firms charge for checks?

some (just a few) now charge a free to send out checks. Does it realy cost $5 or even $10 to send a check?

Charging you for a check is a rip off.

In that case, would you please go into the check issuing business? All you need is a check printer and supplies, someone to run it, and put the checks into envelopes, and address them for 5 hours a day, and the postage. I will pay you 50 cents per check. Sound good to you?

You would be helping your fellow man and protecting them from rip offs!

You could then go around to other companies and offer it to them for 50 cents per check. I know for sure you would capture the whole market!

Go for it!! :thumbsup

Checks are sooo 20th century...

There is a cost involved in moving money, regardless of what method you choose. Any fair sponsor recognizes this and let you choose between the desired payment types they offer, but also show you the costs associated with each. No need for a Paxum user to subsidize those still on checks and vice versa. Cover your own costs, that's only fair.

It's a cost of doing business that should be eaten up by the sponsor...:2 cents:

I don't see anything wrong with a $1-$3 fee. You've got envelope expenses, postage, printer ink, the price of checks, the time to sign, envelope and send.

When cutting 100+ checks every week or 2, these fees add up.
