You say that the topic gets 74k (search) hits a month - but you do not mention your particular site how many hits it receives. The value is not necessarily in the name but the actual traffic/sales to the domain.

The site is a place holder site. It has no seo. All it is is wordpress theme thrown up and a blog post. This means the site is of absolutely zero relevance. Zero.

If you understand IM and SEO you will understand that with "some work" you can seo this site to position 1, page 1 for the primary and secondary search terms. Take a look at the competition and you'll also see how easy this would be.

That may be the truth but what he seems to fail to understand is the stats he is providing as a selling feature is not really a feature at all for an exact match domain name. That's all. They are just clarifying, not really hating.
