Anyone familiar with WordPress and storing images for it, on a different server/ subdomain
Im using wordpress for an original content adult website and ideally i want to use NextGen Gallery plugin, for the content, and for things such as the Feature Image, that is the image which the user clicks on from the front page, and brings them to that updates specific page. Now for the non members section I dont mind just throwing the thumbs in through html, ideally I would like to also use NextGen for this, but I dont care, but I do wish to store the feature images elsewhere, but I see no way in pointing the upload destination anywhere else, such as another subdomain.. Has anyone got any experience with this.
Is this something a developer could handle, in an efficient way |
YES it can be done by using a CDN and a plugin like WP Super Cache
|
How about W3 Total Cache, I believe its much advanced than other cache plugins.
Other than that I believe this could be possibly with some mods, tweaks or hacks but never went that deep into it. However, I do know of a WP plugin which allows you to fetch photos/videos from FHGs and then allows you store them where ever you wish, including different server / subdomain. |
Yes as RedShok says you can do it with a plugin.
If you're interested in CDN hosting then please contact me sales at constantinternet com and we can get you setup with a nice deal. |
