Wordpress help - need a theme that looks like a paysite or is flexible

Wordpress lovers and people that know more about themes than me....

Is there any themes that look like a paysite or are flexible?

I want big page buttons that stand out. And to be able to put a mixture of stuff on the pages without fucking about to much.

I would like something like a landing page, a page of photos, a page of videos, an about page and a contact page (i know how to do a contact page)

But I want a nice flowing looking site. Custom backgrounds etc would be nice aswell.

Any ideas?

Maybe if you know something that fits part of this please post that aswell and I try and chop them into eachover.

Thanks very much :thumbsup

Crap, forgot to mention, I don't want "posts" so something that looks good on pages.

It is going to be pretty static (I hear you say why use wordpress?) and I want to use wordpress for the plugins, I will need a few on this site.

I was thinking about that, but it is a low budget project so would like something free or under $300 if possible.

This might work http://themeforest.net/item/ibuze-pr...rdpress/231426

Or something similar anyone can suggest.

You could get the newest version of artisteer. I just did a decent looking layout for one of my sites.

I would also suggest you look at Drupal. The modules and themes might work a little better for you. With views and panels you can make your site look exactly how you want it.

you can set the main default page as a page not to post. you can run categories in the side bar and a tag cloud. hit me up I can show you what I did with mine to give you one example.

Do not under-estimate the power of Wordpress. :thumbsup

See sig.
Either Thesis or Headway will work just fine.
Bella Bellini's site is a perfect example of a paysite using Thesis.

the background on that site is an eye-killer

I'd personally go for black, but I actually do kind of like the turquoise. Still though, I think the site is done really well and she did it all on Thesis.

Props to basing the design on Thesis. It has potential, but get rid of the horrible blue gradients. This clashes with the rest of the design. Some of the elements look half assed on the page with no regards to typography.

do the design in css/xhtml first, then convert it over.

you be better just to get the design gone, and convert it yourself.

Been playing around with Atahualpa

I forgot how many options this theme has. Will see what happens :thumbsup
