The "Forumla 1" of Radio Control Auto Racing Is The Week!!
 

If you are in the Homestead FL area this week, please make sure to stop by Homestead RC Raceway to witness some great RC racing action. This entire week, championship drivers from around the world are gathering at Homestead RC Raceway for the IFMAR 1/8th Scale On-Road World Championships.

These cars are powered by 2-stroke single cylinder engines running on a mixture of nitromethane and methanol. RPM's can hit 35,000+, so the sounds it produce really give that "F1" feeling just on a smaller scale.

not sure where I read it, but one of the websites that sells such things is turning over several mil a month.

Those 1/8 scale on road cars absolutely rip.

I love those cars, last time I went to one of the race, it was awesome! Great stuff! ;)

Qualifying is every day this week.

Finals on Friday and Saturday (Sunday reserved if it rains on Saturday)

i had one of these when I was younger, but was more F1 looking than drag racer.

i would crash it all the time and would cost a fortune in parts so i think its in my parents attic right now
