Dumb Phone Question
I have read trying to figure out the answer, and I really am not getting anywhere. Please keep in mind that I am not a technical person, and am allergic to all things having to do with hardware.
I am ready to buy a new phone. I have been trying to figure out exactly what is meant by an android phone. I get that it refers to the OS, and I think it is is open source. That said, I am not able to take that and translate it into what it means to me as an end user. Keep in mind, I have not previously owned a smartphone. I have an Samsung that allows me to go online and has a gmail app, and that has worked for me so far. So what is the big difference between an android and an iphone for a non technical (well, more technical than grandma, but not a coder) person? |
i cant afford a phone...

Android = Google's OS ( which is open )
Iphone = Apple's OS. For me it is about form factor. I like a real keyboard in my hand on my smartphone ( I have a year old Droid2 ) The Iphone with the virtual keyboard was not for me. Other people it is. |
Iphone FTW
