How Many US Peeps Are Gonna Watch The Royal Wedding ?

They keep telling us that the US people are going crazy about the royal wedding between Kate and William ...is this true do the US peeps really like all this. On the BBC2 they said there was more interest in the wedding in the US than over here in the UK

L-Pink 04-15-2011 12:10 PM

I'm not the least bit interested.

They are making it a public holiday over here

PR_Glen 04-15-2011 12:17 PM

the only people getting excited about it are the same people who get excited when a new addition of a barbie doll gets released...

RuthB 04-15-2011 12:17 PM

it seems to me like they're trying to capture the spirit of patriotism that so many people in the UK felt back when Diana and Charles married (I was just 5 yrs old at the time but I remember it well, they had a street fair and events and parties and everything on the RAF base where I lived at the time.).

I don't think they'll be able to do it though, it's a different world nowadays...

charles is in line to be king... when mommy resigns.

the GRANDSON with the life expectancy of royals now a days will be king in say, maybe, 80 years......

meaning most of the people watching will be dead before he ever gets to be king

wooopeee

Houdini 04-15-2011 12:50 PM

There's a little bit of coverage about it, no more than, for example, Kobe Bryant calling a ref a faggot the other day. People in the US are not going crazy over it though, and for the most part, probably don't care at all.

dynastoned 04-15-2011 12:54 PM

theres a royal wedding?

Ayla_SquareTurtle 04-15-2011 12:55 PM

I don't even like watching weddings of people I know.

Caligari 04-15-2011 12:55 PM

I hope at the reception someone yells "LET THEM EAT CAKE!" ;)

No one I know has ever mentioned it, I don't see anything on Facebook and I've barely even heard that there was a wedding happening.

redwhiteandblue 04-15-2011 12:59 PM

I'll watch the Royal consummation if they televise that.

Don't remember any of that in the real world outside of your RAF base.

{Psycho} 04-15-2011 01:40 PM

LOL are u serious :)

flashfire 04-15-2011 01:42 PM

I couldn't care less

dyna mo 04-15-2011 01:45 PM

i've got the 3 days surrounding the event off and have several celebrations planned (tea & strumpets, that sort of thing), still working on wardrobe.

MrMaxwell 04-15-2011 01:49 PM

I think that the only people in the states who give a fuck would probably be rich spoiled housewives who act as if they've lost an appendage when a nail breaks.

Tom_PM 04-15-2011 01:49 PM

If there's nip slips, I'll catch it on gfy within moments. Other than that, I really dont care too much. I hope they have a nice wedding and all that stuff, but they dont need me watching and I'm happy to comply.

BSleazy 04-15-2011 01:59 PM

I couldn't care less.

Ayla_SquareTurtle 04-15-2011 02:05 PM

My question is, why would they report this in the first place? Even if it were true, but especially since it isn't. Doesn't make sense.

Rochard 04-15-2011 02:07 PM

The only way I'm going to watch it is if they do a behind the scenes story about her getting dressed with white stockings....

Vanilla DeVille 04-15-2011 02:13 PM

Not me - not interested at all...

The sheep do what they're told...

iSpyCams 04-15-2011 04:27 PM

They are not royals to us, they are just unnatractive brits.

I haven't even bothered to learn about the wedding, there is a better chance of me setting my alarm clock early to get up and watch F-troop reruns.

TheDoc 04-15-2011 04:33 PM

I had no idea they were getting married.... I personally could care less, now my brit grandmother I'm sure will be going off about it.

Seth Manson 04-15-2011 05:51 PM

Brad Pitt & Angeline Jolie are more interesting. Who cares about the British Royal Family?

LiveDose 04-15-2011 07:15 PM

Fucking retarded.

halfpint 04-15-2011 11:55 PM

lol I see the BBC was correct about the US going mad about the wedding then

abshard 04-16-2011 12:31 AM

Only reason i knew about it was from this stupid commercial on tv at night

its a pretty funny commercial :1orglaugh

they are so cheap its not even full silver

Doctor Dre 04-16-2011 01:08 AM

I had no idea there was a royal wedding until seeing this thread... I'm canadian. And I watch the news every other day...

~Ray 04-16-2011 06:05 AM

there should be no monarchist. no kings. no queens. no princes. no princesses.

let freedom ring.

DWB 04-16-2011 06:19 AM

People will watch anything to take their mind off of reality.

Scott McD 04-16-2011 06:37 AM

I keep laughing at how the media is telling us this is good for the UK as it will cheer everyone up during these hard times.

Yeah, because watching 2 fucking people getting married will help pay the bills. Idiotic!!
