gratitiude...

personally I'm very damn grateful.. I go into the grocery store and there is enough food sitting around to feed an African village for 10 years, and I have a few bucks so I can buy what I want...

I have 'mostly' great roads to drive on... my car stereo works, the windshield wipers... heat on the cold days, AC on the hot... in and out of the car...

I get to take a hot shower every morn and in the afternoonn as well if I feel like it... even a fucking bubble bath when I feel like it... today the bills are paid... my family is healthy...

that's pretty damn amazing considering how the world plays out these days... :2 cents:

I'm grateful to the piece of squid that got the attention on the passing 2lb seabass that was swimming past the rock I was fishing off.

Tasty and free..mm

I'm grateful when I receive gratitude...

I have recently helped someone out. No Names, no pack drill, (and they dont post here anyway) but I have paid for 1st class tickets to an event that can benefit them, and also for their accommodation for the two days during the event, and I will also be paying their expenses incurred during the event.

Its not a female - I expect nothing in return, and its out of the goodness of my heart. Yet, I have still not received even a simple 'Thankyou' from the person involved.

I'm not doing it for brownie points, or any alteria motive. But a simple 'Thanks mate' would have been nice...

Absolutely true...

However, I will be travelling with them, and I'd feel a bit of a cunt saying 'I'm here in first class... You go sit in the back' lol

But anyway, I will see if I get a thankyou nearer the time... They probably dont really think its gonna happen yet, despite my showing them the reservations and tickets etc :)

fact: I'm having a very grateful/good/relaxed day and and what you think or don't think really has no impact on me, or my day :thumbsup

I'm grateful for everything :thumbsup

MrMaxwell 04-16-2011 06:22 PM

I know exactly what you mean. I don't need big money or a thousand hoes or a 200k automobile

I like the simple little things

Good food, air conditioning, blowjobs

Nothing fancy

And I enjoy helping people when I can afford to.. hell a lot of the time it doesn't even cost anything

jigg 04-16-2011 06:39 PM

we lived briefly in WA and had these homeless people that would sleep under the tree across from our apartment building.

It really jolted me into changing my mind, seeing them come late at night and roll sleeping bags out. Unfortunately somebody complained so the maintenance people went and cut the two trees down and just left them there chopped up

And then there were others that would walk around like they're in a haze, sometimes talking to themselves, other times just looking completely out of it.

MrMaxwell 04-21-2011 06:20 AM

This is a good thread.. TTT with it, there

MrMaxwell 04-21-2011 06:22 AM

No one appreciates anything. The average man in developed countries lives better than a king use to. Food pre killed and these days even pre cooked, right there on any corner grocery. Hell, you can get a "meal" in a few minutes. Sit down in a restaurant or if you're too lazy for that drive your AIR CONDITIONED vehicle up to a WINDOW and they'll HAND YOU SOME FOOD.

We take for granted certain things KINGS didn't use to have.

MrMaxwell 04-21-2011 06:23 AM

Oh, and don't forget, everyone in this country now believes that all of everything is owed to them. They deserve it, for being lazy greedy useless annoying trash.
