Ummm. The innovation comes from outside china because they can not create anything. All they can do is copy. Without outside influence they would still be riding bicycles on dirt pathways. The chinese mind is clever in certain ways and hundreds of years behind western in many others.

All they do is steal. I mean, none of them join sites. They just scrape and steal.

Those cocksuckers can't innovate anymore. Most of their efforts revolve around stealing the work of others. In the end this will be great for the USA and other countries who have been farming their work out to Chinese slaves.

These shredders are sure powerful - they can rip a piece of paper into 2,000 pieces. It's unfortunate that million-dollar manufacturing tools were stolen. The business was destroyed.

Had a german company contact me about selling their product on my website. Browsed their pricelist and also realized I already sold their product at a much lower cost.

Replied to the guy, "hey we already sell your product"

He replied "No shit, that's cool, but we are the manufacturer and can offer you the best price"

My reply "you might want to discuss that your factory in china"

Japan did the same in the 1950's through to the early 1980's. Most Japanese products, especially electronics, were copied from US, Australian and UK designs.

Now it's China's turn, although China seems to be a bit more aggressive in how it goes about it, problem is nobody will stop China. China is a juggernaut and sheer population means that nobody has a hope of stopping them.

There's a difference between benchmarking and copying. Japan was heavy on benchmarking improving the quality of products and manufacturing processes. Haven't seen the same with Chinese products ever.

From experience of China's factory prices they will have made far more than they have just lost out of the whole deal.

Fuck em. Thats what they get for outsourcing. They got what they deserved. Corporations are global entities now. This is not some poor unfortunate "American" company- just some multinational coporate bloodsucker who got outsmarted and outfoxed by a quicker and more cunning fox than them. Who gives a shit-

In my case I had no choice but to outsource the manufacturing of our toy.

We were able to sell our toy at 1/4 the price it would have cost us to produce the product here - without including the fact the start up cost on the molds were 1/15th the US start up costs.

We had contracts, design and utility patents, trademarks and were working with the same factory that made the talking fish. Their reputation as Chinese factory's go was stellar.

The just used our molds, boxes and artwork to make the product and sell it around the world and gave us nothing. Told us if we came to the factory they would have the army shoot us since the government owns a piece.

No one would have bought the product unless we were able to get pricing at Chinese levels and at the quality that took 3 years of work to obtain.

Our Korean contract manufacturer knocked us off on another project that was a mainstream product but we crushed their distribution and they tanked. There was enough profit to build it in the US and we did.

Sadly we have the patent on something that many companies are still knocking off and if the main owner with 55% went nuts and was legally incompetent before he died, and then his sole heir his ex wife died. Another owner with 15% wanted to distance himself from adult as he is a high profile Corp lawyer, and my last 15% partner is so lazy he won't do shit, my 15% would be worth a fortune as millions a dollars a year in sales are being wracked up and I haven't seen a cent on 6 years.

Regardless, what happened with Fellowes might be more of an isolated incident because he chose scumbags for partners.
