Ya, but it's the 4gb one. I'll stick with my 250gb box. haha

Xer0 04-17-2011 12:02 PM

Even then - I wouldn't want it... except to use as a door stop.

The hardware is just garbage... and the only games they have are Halo, Gears of War and Forza. On the other hand, I've had a PS3 since launch...

Every year has seen good Exclusives.

MGS4
Gran Turismo 5
God of War 3
Uncharted 1/2
Little Big Planet
Kill Zone 2/3

... So many.

With that... I'll end with this:

Ya but if you do this......." Not to state the obvious, but this makes it far cheaper to buy the separate Arcade 4GB [amazon.com] and the 250GB hard drive [amazon.com] ($199 + $91.77 - $50 credit = $240.77) than buying the combo together [amazon.com] ($299.99). "

.......you end up with the same thing and save about $60.

It's a great deal for those on a tight budget :thumbsup

bronco67 04-17-2011 12:33 PM

Xbox has shitty exclusives, and Halo is the fucking pits. You wouldn't know this if you only ever played an Xbox.

You said it was only a 4GB

I pointed out it can be made into the same storage capacity as a 250 GB model and for less money so by buying this deal you are not stuck with only 4 GB

R3nato 04-17-2011 12:45 PM

sure in my country xbox will not be free

Just syain...

To the post about the xbox hardware being garbage.

The PS3 may be technically better, but it is harder to program for and a good number of PS3 ports have more technical glitches like framerate drops than the Xbox. All games are released with glitches these days, but because the PS3 is harder to work with, it ends up with more bugs that go unfixed before release. That's not just me saying that, but pretty much every comparison site not run by fanboys says the same.

Most multiplatform games run better on the xbox.

Most multiplatform games also run better on PC.
The old argument about the PS3 being harder to develop on, was more relevant - 2 years ago.

But it's still true. For example Marvel vs. Capcom. If you go to or watch any of the tournaments, guys complain all the time about the PS3 dropping frames. And that game came out a month ago.

I have an Xbox, PS3, and a gaming PC and the only thing I play on the PS3 is the exclusives. I'm no fanboy of any of them, but for the vast majority of games, the Xbox runs better as far as consoles.

PCs do look way better and have higher framerates, but they cost 10X as much as consoles so I put them in a different category. For the price of a gaming PC you can buy an Xbox, a 42 inch TV, and a surround system..lol

Xer0 04-17-2011 03:24 PM

lol - I guess you could these days.
My first HDTV cost me $2000 and that was the Sony Bravia at 720P 5 years ago.

With regards to online, I still prefer the PC over a console.
Steam is still going strong.

And yah - PS3 has the best Exclusives. There are just so many good surprises on the platform. Such Siren: Bloodcurse, Heavy Rain, Demon Souls etc.

To say that the Xbox runs multi-platforms better, is a bit of a stretch. These days, the multi-plats are on par. And their are some exceptions such as Burnout Paradise - being better on the PS3 than the Xbox.

It use to be the case, that a developer would make the Xbox a lead platform for development but that rule is no longer strictly the case. Developers now realise that developing on the PS3 as a lead platform, helps offer a similar gaming experience for everybody.

BTW - did you see Twisted Metal.
The artwork and direction is looking awesome :)

MGS is a legend... Can't wait for the newest one with a Raiden on it :)

Jakez 04-17-2011 04:10 PM

I could care less about exclusives, I don't even play COD anymore just Battlefield 2.

Seth Manson 04-17-2011 04:37 PM

You guys act like you are only allowed to have one game system and you have to choose between them.

Twisted Metal is looking good. Been checking in on it now and then since last year. Hoping to see some new footage at E3 this year.
