Sounds like a very leaky system that will get heaps of support from clueless idiots who dont really understand it.

ottopottomouse 04-18-2011 03:10 PM

Also, if its anything like most government IT projects it will cost about 17 times the estimate before being scrapped for being years out of date.

I think the President has bigger things to fry than this.
This is only getting passed because of rampant piracy and lobbyist.

Regardless of who is President - this would have always been so.

BTW - 1984 was a great a movie... the book is even better.

Shades of Radio...

To tell the truth I don't think this is something serious, it's just more crap than real action, but I wanted the thread to sound serious as it really pisses me off that they think they can do whatever they want.

not enough people on the planet to go through all that data... as long as you don't have secret plans to blow up the government or running scams you have nothing to worry about... Your closet fetish of dancing monkeys in lingerie is safe...

Just like the Patriot act, wich would only be used against mass killing terrorists.

However thousends of Americans end up in jail every single year because of the patriot act who are not terrorists.

More so than you think. I read about using scanners at airports that scan the persons body temp, facial expression and a few other things to read stress levels and use them as a way to move them to enhanced screening.
