CCBill script added passwords but no sales showed up
I need some advise on what to do, but dont want this turning into a CCBill bash thread. figure someone must have been through this before.
some passwords were added to my password file the other day, it shows in my CCBill log that the passwords were added by the CCBill software. but the logins have not been used yet and are not found when I log in to CCBill. so should I wait until they are used so I have IP's and possibly some referrer info, or contact CCBill now? any other way this could happen, maybe something Im missing? |
These are probably reserved usernames inserted after declined transactions. They usually clear within a day or so if the person is not able to join. If not, ask CCBill. Reservations include the username and a random password. In your log, you'll see two transactions for approved joins, but only one for non-approved.

i had that recently - check the IPs, it's CCBill IP adresses who did the signups. how and why i dont know though, they said it could be test signups by support who should automatically be deleted again

ok thanks, I will relax and see what happens.

nice post.... I would bet that it is related to the 200% join form submissions I had in my stats the other day.
100% of my visitors to join form submitted a transaction.... however the stats showed that 200% of visitors submitted transactions(2 times more visitors then there actually were) you think I got credited with 2 times the sales???? Us clueless webmasters have been trained to "trust" all activities by banks, and distrust fellow webmasters who raise questions about "processing companies/or psuedo banks" |
