Would you go on this ride?

Would you go on this ride? Does it look safe to you?

MyCamProfile 04-25-2011 04:41 AM

Not exactly "safe", but nevertheless it look's pretty wickedly awesome.. Yes I would.

BJ 04-25-2011 04:45 AM

I was standing next to it a few days before it opened. The ride opened a week ago. I would have gone on it, I would have let my kid go on it if it had been open that day. Like you say it doesn't look safe, but I would have trusted in the theme park. Yesterday a 11 year old boy died on it http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-n...wales-13185688
just 1 week after the ride opened

BJ 04-25-2011 04:53 AM

It looks safe. I am 100% certain the family released all liability to the operator. After that, go cry.

No. But I would stick my dick in a waffle maker.

Well shoot. Where's the fun without the danger?

I'd still go on something like that, but I'd now not let my 5 year old on it

If it had been running for 10 years it would seem like a one off, but if it happens in the first week of opening, something doesn't seem right

royal wedding coming up, should wash the tears away from attaching your child to a rope.

CurrentlySober 04-25-2011 05:15 AM

At the risk of sounding logical, I would need to know how the kid was behaving on the ride?

Did he go down in a 'sensible' manner with all equipment locked etc, or did he go down trying to act the twat and undid his safety harness?

That would be the deciding factor in my mind.

Years ago, a local fair used to come to my town once a year. One year a guy was 'Thrown Out' of one of the rides - Cue the fair not coming the following year.

Turned out though, from eye witness accounts (and medical records) that the guy was a 'bit mental' and had undid the safety bar himself, and stood up. So no wonder he was thrown from the ride...

It's very safe I've been zip lining many times in Montreal and Costa Rica, it's a blast and a heck of a rush.

Sucks when you slow down halfway and have to pull yourself across though

beerptrol 04-25-2011 11:14 AM

kind of tame. maybe if you gave each person a six pack of beer and see who drank the most when they reached the end.........without throwing up

kaori 04-25-2011 12:02 PM
