I disagree completely. An extremely sharp knife with a quick cut and the animal just falls asleep. That seems a lot better to me than an animal that's shitting itself in fear and bruising itself all over trying to escape the bolt. Not to mention the bolt doesn't always work and sometimes they're just stunned until they get further down the chain...

It was an honest question, not a disagreement. I really don't know anything about the halal process but had heard it was supposed to be very brutal.

Looking around on the net, it looks like there is some disagreement about whether the process kills as fast and painlessly as claimed. Supposedly this is because the animal literally bleeds to death. I have no personal knowledge of this.

Another reason Texas should be its own country.
