Android or Iphone?

So the time has come for a phone upgrade and I'm wondering what y'all think is better and why: Android or Iphone.
Thanks!:helpme

WebairGerard 04-28-2011 11:57 AM

I've been happy with the iphone. 5th gen rumored to be out in June.

djroof 04-28-2011 11:57 AM

Android of course ;)

Ross 04-28-2011 11:58 AM

Until about 6 weeks ago I would scream that iPhone is the best, however, I'm getting more and more frustrated as newer Android phones hit the market. I have iPhone 4 and I do love it, but I just think you can get a much better phone now than iPhone 4.

I think there is a few nice phones coming out in June, so maybe you should try and hang on for another month. I'm defo getting a 4G phone when I upgrade.

The Ghost 04-28-2011 12:11 PM

Not a single complaint about the iphone4. Perfect phone/mobile device.

Picked up a Samsung Galaxy a couple days ago to play around with. Wanted to poke around with Android and see what the majority of smart phone consumers are using. No feedback yet on it.

2intense 04-28-2011 12:33 PM

Iphone ...

Honez 04-28-2011 12:34 PM

I am pretty happy with my HTC Thunderbolt. I have never played around with an iPhone though.

Sid70 04-28-2011 12:37 PM

Functionality is not an issue for modern Android devices, but still they lack softness and smooth movement, precise touch and response Iphone offers.

the iphone is a great phone for sure---- but there's only one. I like the amount of choices Android has.

Chosen 04-28-2011 01:04 PM

You still can't run adobe flash applications with iPhone, right?

You can on jailbroken devices I think

Lilit 04-28-2011 01:19 PM

Had both and I'm sticking with Android, digging its functionality and customization options :winkwink:

Go iphone.

Android still has lots of bugs, my Samsung Galaxy S was awesome for a while then it kept crashing, freezing so I said fuck it and bought a Blackberry.

bns666 04-28-2011 04:21 PM

android ftw

NETbilling 04-28-2011 09:36 PM

My GF has Android and really cant stand it compared to the iphone. She only keeps it because Tmobile does not have the iphone.

Angus McBagpipe 04-28-2011 09:56 PM

Android is my pick

Wizzo 04-28-2011 10:07 PM

baddog 04-28-2011 10:17 PM

Just got back from APPNation. Apparently, Android is the way to go. It is the most popular.

ContentPimp 04-28-2011 10:43 PM

I wouldnt mind switching, but so much $$ tied up in apps, music and movies... apple really has me by the balls on this one

As much as I love Apple and use Macs and the iPhone, there is no disputing that Apple really have been clever in locking people in to the iPhone.

its kind of the same thing with BB, Droids, etc., but this day and age, you have to almost commit to a phone manufacture for life

tiger 04-28-2011 11:31 PM

If you get a droid get the right one is the key. Get an EVO or Thunderbolt.

Mike Honcho 04-28-2011 11:46 PM

Having owned both, I'd recommend getting an Iphone, the battery life is a key factor in my decision.

GARY LEE 04-29-2011 12:39 AM

Owned both, droid wins hands down. Plus I still have all that hate in me about MAC making me jailbreak it to work with a descent provider and trying to force the ATT issue. MAC constantly talking bullshit how they do everything they can to try and block the evil pornworld and their apps. And when I went to originally buy it at the apple store them telling me that they wouldn't except cash for an iphone purchase and I had to use my credit card even though I was just purchasing the phone equipment and not the service.

sambucas 04-29-2011 12:55 AM

Shit I'm on contract with stupid Windows Mobile 6,5 (what the fuck was I thinking?) can't wait to get something with Android and start developing apps for it too!

Use the search function. There is a FUCKING DULL POINTLESS DISCUSSION about this about once a week.

calvinawe 04-29-2011 01:51 AM

I recommend Android

Markul 04-29-2011 02:08 AM

Had plenty of iPhones and will never ever go back to it after experiencing the freedom with Android.

Sure if you don't want choices or freedom, go with iPhone. My gf LOVES her iPhone 4

Zorgman 04-29-2011 02:20 AM

If you want to be really custom and write your own apps and sell them yourself then go Android. Otherwise go with the norm. Iphone4

Denny 04-29-2011 03:21 AM

Iphone :winkwink:

fitzmulti 04-29-2011 03:23 AM

ANDROID!
IPhone is awesome as well, but between the 2...Android!

cooldude7 04-29-2011 05:30 AM

Well, that makes three people I know that did that, except the other two got out of their contract.

I have to ask, what makes it pointless? The fact that you do not care?

David! 04-29-2011 09:16 AM

I just left my Blackberry after 4 years and got an Android, the T-mobile G2x. I'm pretty happy with it except for the battery life and for having to re-learn how to use all of the features I had on Blackberry.

I originally wanted the iPhone, but since there is no 4G version yet I chose the g2x.
