Any known issues using .htaccess to create a re-direct??
Is there any known issues with using .htaccess to create a re-direct to our affiliate links? Do some sponsors/software trackers lose this code in translation? Are any clicks lost? Anyone have any real-world input? IE: mypornsite.com/hand-jobs redirects to: handjobs4life.com/track/OTT6MTB2OjEy/ (NATS system example) Thanks. |
I do it all the time, example: http://asylumx.com/cam_sites/vsex Sometimes the referrer shows as null, still tracks though.
There are other options like yourls http://yourls.org/ where you can run your own url shortener. |
order allow,deny
deny from 192.168.44.201 deny from all |
Thanks for the info.

If you use Google apps for domains you can use Google Short Links from labs. Example: http://x.asylumx.com/chloereeceryder
|
You can also use PHP, it's "lighter" and easier to manage for multiple links. Original link should normally validate, but always check on it.
