WooHoo! Two Years Later My Google Ban is Lifted! Woot!
I had a TEVS site at http://www.shrined.com a long time back. For some reason it was touched by the Google ban hammer.
None of my contacts would tell me why it was banned or what I had to do to fix it, so I moved the TEVS site (fine for over a year on its current domain), and I slapped up a cams.com chat page on Shrined. Just noticed that the domain no longer banned. It took over two years to get re-listed. Now I have to do something fancy with the domain... Any suggestions? |
you do anything to the site inn the meantime? you have analytics or webmaster tools attached?

I deleted Shrined from my Google account back then (2008 or 2009 - its been so loooong) after not getting a constructive reply after numerous queries and reinclusion requests. I basically parked it on my server for the last couple of years. I've had other domains and IPs suddenly disappear from Google, but I've always received a least a little help. With Shrined, I got nothing - so I gave up on it with the faint hope that one day I may be able use it again. Not a great domain, but I could never just let it drop. |
Was it a penalty throwing you back to page 100 or a chillingeffects total removal from results?

If you type "shrined" in google now (nobody does, but that's not the poit...) my one page site is listed after Flickr and various dictionary sites. Until recently, typing even "www.shrined.com" returned no results for my domain. Seriously - and my server stats confirm this - Google did not send a single hit for about two years. |
You could make a site where people can create internet shrines for hot girls, celebs, bands, etc.

I have informed Google of their oversight and it should be banned again within 72 hours.
