Microsoft Word - See word count as you type?
 

Is there a facility to display 'live' word count in a Word 2003 document as you type?

Searched about, only find reference to a feature that does that in 2007 version so I guess not, just thought I'd ask.

I suppose there's only a menu item that does that. No live counter that would be self-updating.

Tools > Word Count > Show Toolbar.

It's not self updating though you have to click Recount.

I ended up writing it in a Wordpress post where I have an auto updating plug-in.
