Navy Seal Team Six: Huge Balls
 

It was Navy Seal Team Six that went in and killed Osama bin Laden. They flew into Pakistan in multiple helicopters to a town that had a military academy with over three thousand Pakistani troops less than half a mile a way, attacked a compound with eighteen foot walls, killed a handful of people, and left.

And no one in Pakistan had any fucking clue it happened.

Yes they have balls for sure ... and Pakistan claimed to not know where he was. Yet he was living in the biggest house in the city next to their version of West Point..

Umm lets get real folks, that's never gonna happen, specially in a country where the govt is as insecure as Pakistan is. The US should stop any sort of aid to them and let India have their way to fuck them up..

Of course that will never happen cause we have to play politics..

News reports here are saying that Pakistan was involved, they lost a chopper in the exercise.

Not quite so big balls when it was sanctioned by them.

I just got on Google Earth and zeroed right in on Bin Laden's compound. Fucking amazing times we're living in.

they were in a helicopter.. isn't exactly suprising they could make it over 18ft walls, those black hawks cost millions of dollars , if they cant make it over 18ft walls we are screwed.
The 18ft walls helped keep bin laden in.

huge balls are when you show up unarmed or underarmed not when you show up with the most sophisticated weaponry known to man and have a turkey shoot, killing unarmed civilians.


it takes balls to do what they did , don't get me wrong. I certainly don't have enough balls for that even if i did support their actions.

I have a feeling that the Pakistani government is very split on this issue and I am sure that there are corrupt parts of their military that helped Osama and Al Queda for years. The fact that he was living in that compound is proof enough.

What took them so long if they suspected 5 years ago that the compound had been built for a major terrorist figure? :)

Pakistan was told only after US toops were leaving. They had no idea it was coming.

there's no way they would want the pakistanis to know about something this secret. the isi are in cahoots with the taliban and al quaeda. however the pakistanis do have air defences and i can't see how this could have gone down without them at least knowing something was going to happen.

Highly, highly unlikely, that would have been an act of war. How would america have acted if the Pakistani army had gone into some american town without permission to extridite a wanted person? Pakistan may claim not to have known about it to placate some internal dissidents but they knew.

If the Pakistanis had no idea it was happening and the US Military sent in a Navy Seal Team with intention of killing someone on Pakistan territory, why yes, that would be an act of war.

Pakistani officials are not confirming because they have their own reasons. They do not want their forces and agencies in the red list of Taliban and AQ, they already suffered a lot due to the war on terror.

When I'm wrong I'm wrong and I'll gladly admit it. But make no mistake about it, Pakistan is not our friend. They sit right on the fence and choose sides depending on how it benefits them the most.

I'm sure it was very similar to the Pakistani support of the Afghanistan war.

As a former Marine Mustang I?ve had the very unique opportunity to personally participate in this type of operation both from the boots on the ground tactical level as well as the strategic planning level. While I don?t normally offer guarantees freely in this case I can unequivocally GUARANTEE you that this particular ?host nation? had absolutely no notification prior to this raid, period!

That being said, from a political standpoint, both U.S. and Pakistan officials are deciding right now (if the decision hasn?t already been made) whether or not to claim publicly that they were notified prior to the raid. Irrespective of what is claimed publicly, Pakistan was not notified at any point prior to the commencement of this raid.

It simply doesn?t work like that with operations in countries such as Pakistan. Notifying Pakistan officials prior to the operation would have been a serious breach of operational security that no U.S. military commander worth their salt would have been willing to accept. If Bin Laden had been found in Jordan I wouldn?t be offering a guarantee that Jordanian officials weren?t notified prior to the raid (maybe, maybe not) but in Pakistan, absolutely no way they knew and you can take that to the bank!

I agree. We don't notify anyone that it's going down until after the fact.

But the question is how much did they assist us before it went down.
