Domainnamesystems holding domains HELP

Guys i need your help

I got some old domains stuck at domainnamesystems that i bought 10 or 11 years ago.

How can i transfer them ?
Hell even their email form does not work !
How can i contact them ?

What's even worst is you can't type in the registrar domain !
It doesn't work ! Works thru google search tho (sounds good huh ?)

If it happened to you ? How did you succeed ?
Anykind of help will be appreciated !

Thanks

Isn't there always the owner like enom that can be a help in cases register in the middle doesn't play their games fair ?

Agent 488 05-04-2011 10:18 AM

jigg 05-04-2011 10:19 AM

I think Moniker helps with domain stransfers/moves

uno 05-04-2011 10:21 AM

I have ONE domain left with them. It's been hell to get it back. They let me transfer out 3 maybe about half a year ago but i didn't get a chance to do the 4th and they wouldn't reissue me a code.

PornGreenDavidK 05-04-2011 10:22 AM

WORST PLACE EVER!! Ive been trying to deal with them for well over a year for a domain that I fucking sold the business. And the person I sold the business to is about to sue me because he thinks that I wont give him the domain. They suck SOOOOO BAD here is an email for a chick who answers once in awhile. [email protected]

Fabien 05-04-2011 10:40 AM

pr0phet 05-04-2011 11:20 AM

Contact ICANN there are support numbers on the site.

Fabien 05-04-2011 01:08 PM

The fucks have disabled the EPP form, it generates an error, worst, it's doing the same with the emails !!!!

So you can't fucking contact them no matter what is the issue !!!!!

How come nothing's been done so far about it ?

What the fuck Icann stands for ?

I AM SO FUCKING PISSED !

marlboroack 05-04-2011 01:14 PM

magicmike 05-04-2011 01:44 PM

How long has it been since you tried to transfer the names?

I mean if you just tried it yesterday then it will not go thru yet.

Fabien 05-04-2011 05:41 PM

You just can't

When you try to get the EPP code, to transfer to another registrar, there's an error showing up. The same as when you try to contact them.
It's done on purpose !!!!

Bill8 05-04-2011 06:13 PM

A woman named Liz used to get back to you, and would give you the transfer codes manually, altho it wasn't easy.

But I get the feeling Liz may be gone.

I still have too many names stuck there. I am letting some die, and paying on the ones worth keeping.

Eventually I expect to get them all transferred out - but it feels like, if you ask for too many transfers at once, something mysteriously goes wrong.

lagcam 05-04-2011 06:16 PM

I would ask for help from the registrar that I wanted to transfer the domain to.

Tell them the story and ask them who you can contact in cases like this to force them to allow the transfer.

Fabien 05-05-2011 01:08 AM

Well i tried, namecheap says they can't do a thing about it, the new hosting i got for the domains i want to move said the same thing.

This is ridiculous that in 2011, they can hang us by the balls like that. It's so pathetic !

Fabien 05-05-2011 01:28 AM

I get this:
Status: clientTransferProhibited

Even tho it's unlocked.

Plus i get this when i try to generate the EPP code or when i try to contact them.
Error in /cgi/GetAuthCode.exe

An internal Visual Basic error has occurred in /cgi/GetAuthCode.exe.
Component 'HTTP33.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid (error #339)

I did try to contact cheapies.com but no reply yet. Both addresses are Ontario,Canada based. So i ain't sure about the theory that DNS is a reseller of cheapies...

pr0phet 05-05-2011 04:40 AM

I just got an email check this out:

Hello I will enclose the requirements for transfers out now..

Domain Transfer and Registrant Validation:

While we dont wish to lose a domain name , we understand that there
are instances that require a domain name to be moved.

We have found that the traditional ICANN policies of providing epp codes have
a security flaw in them, and as our business does not do business face to face,
we needed to institute a positive identification system to ensure that
the domain
registrant is the transferring party.

Please find following our policy regarding validation of domain
transfer requests:

1. All domain transfer requests will require a positive identification
process. This means in order to remove the registrar administrative
domain lock you will be required to fax one of the following:

- a legible copy of a current drivers license in the name of the
domain registrant
- a legible copy of a current passport in the name of the domain registrant
- a letter from the corporation signed by a senior officer on
corporate letterhead, if the registrant is a corporation.

additionally, a letter outlining the domain name to be transferred.

Our fax # is:**********

Once these positive identification processes have been completed, and
the transfer request identified as bonafide and initiated by the
domain registrant , the transfer will be allowed to proceed.

This policy and requirement is a part of your account operating and
domain registration agreement.

thank you

WTF's this ?

Can someone confirm this bullshit ?
Can they ask for this ?
Shit it reminds of Epassporte !

alias 05-05-2011 03:46 PM

Just stop bitching and send in the data. I did, took 2 minutes and got my epp codes 10 minutes later.

I still use DNS too, FTW. All registrars are shady.

Fabien 05-05-2011 05:24 PM

Ah thanks dude !
But i don't know why, i ain't feeling right about this one...

Sounds like some 5 year old preschooler composed that email. Run don't walk! Sounds like the crazies are running the asylum over there...

Coup 05-05-2011 07:05 PM

never heard of that company

acctman 05-06-2011 12:03 AM

contact cheapies.com. those fuckers held 42 domains and refused to allow me to transfer they questioning me why I wanted to transfer my domains. I ended up calling and faxing repeatedly for a week they later locked my account (don't do what i did). Had to call an internet lawyer for advice and they got me in contact with cheapie and was able to get all my domains transfered.

If i could find the person who recommended domainnamesystem to me i'd bitch slap them. worst experience ever.
