Stolen Content Being Sold on Yahoo thru Paypal

The story, some guy has taken ours and several other producers content, posted previews in now-private/invite only Yahoo Groups, and is selling full versions to people through his paypal account. We contacted Yahoo but dunno if they did anything because he kicked us out of his group (one of our employees on there with a different email last said they didn't do shit though). We're trying to contact Paypal but can't seem to get ahold of the right people who will do something.

The real kicker, we can't even sell the stuff he is reselling on paypal because it's topless/adult. Fucking bullshit!

Any ideas on the proper address/department of paypal to report this to?

PayPal is a big problem. You as a legitimit xxx reseller/producer aren't allowed to accept payments through PayPal, but the content thieves are. A lot of our content is being stolen by Russians using stolen credit card details using American proxy IPs. They upload the content to sites like Rapidshare, Oron and make some money through affiliation accounts. PayPal has a huge part in this, because Rapidshare Oron etc use PayPal for taking payments.

I found this site:

-can't post link here because I'm new, will private message it to someone-

The story goes that PayPal is suing them for violating PayPal's copyrights. Isn't that hypocrite?

If you have the Paypal E-mail. Just E-mail support and file a dispute. The account will be locked & closed.

... thats a big problem indeed!
but careful if you inform paypal. don't use same email adress your paypal account use. some friends get blocked too, even with private accounts nothing to do with adultbiz!

Pay pal is anti adult. If you let them know he is selling adult content or products they will cancel his pay pal.

I am noticing that some pirates have switched from PayPal to bitpay(dot)com as a way to get money for stolen content. This Bitcoin trend worries me.

thecatwrites 12-12-2014 02:11 AM

Isn't Paypal blocks adult?

Freax 02-01-2015 08:05 PM

Paypal TOS says clearly that any activity with adult content or business is forbidden. Accounts get suspended without any refunds.

If your accounts getting suspended without any reason, sometimes there is a way to getting them back and the funds in it.

Paypal checks any activity you has with your account. It checks links and sure seller and buyers from you. If you put a pay now button on a website, your complete site get spidered with all links on it.

The guys selling stolen content, or scam others mostly use steath paypal accounts. So they don't really care if the acc get block or not.

Bitcoin is of course a bit more open. We can be thankful for that in one way. They accept easy any adult biz. Its as with everything. Not the bitcoins are bad, some people they use it.
