And I can't say who told me, but, I thought they were splitting a 10 meg connection for the whole 100 room building and guess what... it's "even slower than that" !!! (The person who told me can't tell me exactly.. But now I am thinking they have a one or two meg line for the WHOLE PLACE)


I can't afford a BB card yet ... and a friend has one through sprint and it's horribly slow anyway .. I hope I can find something because I plan on staying here for awhile because I like it here

The only bad thing about cox residential is that the 3-10 upload only stays that fast for a couple of minutes... then it'll plummet down to 200k or some shit (that turbo boost bullshit)

At that point you are better off using your phones 3g/4g and wireless teether

Dang Boozer, you have a killer cox connection... fastest I can get here is 12mb but I can only get like 7 normally.

Use a mini tap and put your modem very close to the drop
Use RG6 coax
I was doing 30+ with cox in Kansas (and that was the second from top level service!)

I got it for a month @ $550
