Great, wonder what this will mean for Mac users when Microsoft subsume it all ?

There is a new futuristic messenger other than Skype. I forgot the name tho. Bro uses it to fuck his gf in another country.

Hope Microsoft fixes it's problems and updates a fucking theme/skin and has a wl just for porn!

Microsoft is part owner of Apple. The OSX version of Office was actually the better version for the suite for a few years.

They paid 7B (4x the already inflated valuation) for a company that lost 7M in 2010.

Hopefully they can produce some live support for their products in skype as this software has a new company.

Probably to M$ it is. It can be their version of "Facetime" with an established userbase already. I can already see them integrating more Skype features into their next Windows phone.

No different really when they bought Hotmail for the userbase.

Personally, I like Skype.

I find it to be very useful and don't have many problems with it. The only country were I've had a real problem is China. Most problems have been caused by local lack of bandwidth in which case I just turn off the camera.

I hope Microsoft continues to improve the service.

Can you imagine starting a company like that and getting 1 billion dollars into your bank account? Must be unreal.

What's with all the negativity for Skype? It's reliable, light on resources and encrypted. In 8 years or so it's crashed on me maybe twice. Can't say that for any other IM platform i've tried.

Like it 1000x more than icq.

Would have been better they just pay the $8 billion in dividends, what a waste of money for MSFT
