Would you want to be a juror for that? I would as I think she's guilty as hell, she should have just left that little girl with her parents. They seem to be having a few problems picking people.

Anthony's defense team, prosecutors and Perry quizzed potential jurors 100 miles southwest of Orlando in hopes of seating a panel deemed fair enough to judge whether Anthony killed her 2-year-old daughter in 2008.

That case has gotten so much media attention over the last year, hard to believe they could find anyone who hasn't developed an opinion on it. She's guilty as hell, but much of the evidence seems circumstantial, so I hope some all star defense team doesn't get her off.

I live in Orlando so I've pretty much had it with this trial.

So many people have been dragged through the mud because of this. They went after the meter reader that found the body. The father and brother have be accused of abusing the defendant. The lady that was pinned as the Nanny and it just goes on and on.

Casey Anthony knows exactly what happened and if she did do it and then let all those innocent people suffer she can go rot in hell. Personally I believe she gave the kid chloroform to make her sleep so she could go out and party and the kid accidentally died. That's horrible enough but her actions after that is what makes her the scum of the earth.

The other thing that bugs me is a major part of her defense is publicly funded.

Looking at all of the available news the chances of her getting a fair trial are slim.

A fair trial should be decided in the court room, not the media.

IMO once the charges are made, the reporting stops.

The bitch killed a 2 year old little girl I don't give a fuck if she get's a fair trial. They had to have it all over the news as it took forever to find the little girls body.

Kind of hard to pretend that 100 miles away they might find a fair jury when people on internet message boards are already declaring her guilty around the planet!

People are practically chewing their arms off to not be on this jury, but to be honest if you can step away from your life for a few months it's not a raw deal.

Anyone who gets selected is going to be stir crazy for up to 6 months but once they get out, play your cards right and you've got media interviews, book deals, etc etc. Provided none of the jurors are business owners they will make their lost wages up in the first few weeks before the dust even settles.

I actually know one of the witnesses, so even if I didn't have business obligations I could never do it. But yeah, hypothetically if it was 10 years ago I'd be all over it.

can get book deals and interviews they will exclude you and send you home.

I mean, will your book deal be better if there is a conviction, or will it be better

:1orglaugh Only an idiot would stand up and say they want to do it for the book deal, but then again most of the people who show up for jury duty aren't the sharpest tools in the shed, just look at the bag boy from Publix.

Like it or not these jurors are going to get book deals, not all of them- but at least one or two will. You will see them on Good Morning America and Today, then on 20/20 and 48 Hours, Nancy Grace... they will make the rounds.

Just around the corner from me is a Publix that is a working prototype for the chain. When they have a new concept they test it out at my Publix first. It's one of two or three in the state. One thing they did is add a grill in addition to the usually deli section and you can get just about anything you want made for lunch or dinner. You can even eat it in the seating area they added. They frequently do a buy one get one free sale with very popular foods. The people there are all super nice and when I walk in there I feel like Norm walking into Cheers. I love my Publix :)

It's hard to decide guilt. They would have to get proof and evidence for the trial. Someone could show no discernible emotion.

Here is the simple reason she killed her child; She wanted her freedom and no more kid to take care of, but did NOT want to give her parents custody, Caylee's grandparents. She murdered her own kid out of pure spite.

I don't believe she intentionally killed her child. A confiscated PC showed someone had searched how to use chloroform to knock someone out. Since she couldn't afford a babysitter she used the chloroform to make her child sleep so she could go out and party.

Somehow the child died from the chloroform and Casey panicked and put the child's body in the trunk of her car so it wouldn't be discovered while she figured out what to do next. The body laid in the trunk and began to decompose so she was going to bury it in the backyard but didn't think she could get away with it so she took it to a wooded area that was familiar to her because she played in them when she was younger. She dumped the body quickly so she wouldn't get noticed.

After that she quickly became ok with the situation and and went about her life like she never had a child. She made up stories as to where the child was until her mother demanded to see the child which became the infamous 911 call claiming her granddaughter was missing and it smells like there has been a dead body in the trunk of her daughter's car.

I'm certain Casey caused the death of her daughter but whether it was intentionally done I'm afraid there isn't enough evidence to prove that. The only way is if Casey gave a full confession but she's lied pretty much about everything so far so she has zero credibility.

They're seating the jury right now and then the trial starts. It's a media circus down at the court house and I'm sure the trial will be televised somewhere.

That's the thing, the duct tape makes it a hard sell that the death was accidental. There was so much tape covering the child's nose and mouth, maybe she did it in a fit of rage, but it's a suffocating act. An extremely cruel suffocating act. I mean, why would someone do something like that? Was the kid not falling asleep? Was she talkig back? Christ she was only 2. It's hard to try and make sense of the actions of a broken mind.

Honestly, I think it's pretty obvious Casey Anthony is at fault for the child's death and it was from more than child neglect. Because they have her seraching online how to make chloroform and because chloroform- especially when used with a child- can be fatal they will probably have the evidence they need to give her the death penalty. Personally though I don't know if she qualifies. It's pretty clear her brain is broken. Not that I have a problem with putting someone like her to sleep, but I think the death penalty should only be reserved for the most heinous cold blooded killers. As much as I hate her and find what she did dispicable, she's broken. She should be life.

i might agree if she had cooperated with jonny law in some way. Seems to me however she's just full of shit, & acted with malice (duct tape, cover up.) IMO thats why the DA is going for the chair. They'd give her life if she just came clean & begged for mercy.

I have heard at least one news report stating that the cops did not recover DNA
matching the child or the mother from the duct tape.

I find it hard to believe that the duct tape was on the child while the body
was decomposing. That is pretty much impossible without finding DNA.
The adhesive of the duct tape should actually have chunks of the child's skin on it.

That would have to be explained to me. And no I don't buy the "exposure to elements"
theory. The body wasn't out in the rain for 10 years.

They just said on TV that the defense says the reason she waited 30 days to report her child missing is because she is suffering from a form of post traumatic stress syndrome brought on by some form of abuse by her parents :upsidedow

People dont kill themselves in prison because they think they deserve a harsher punishment. She should serve the harshest punishment.. life in prison without possibility of parole, and no knifes or ropes to sneak out of it by killing herself. Why give her a mercy killing? She needs to suffer if she did this crime.

They have Caylee's DNA on the duct tape, I think you're thinking of the fuck up the FBI lab had.

They don't have Casey's DNA on the duct tape, but they found a match to the duct tape in the parent's garage as well as the sheet of stickers the heart sticker on the mouth came from. The garbage bag also match bags in the grandparents home as well as the pooh bear blanket the child was in the garbage bag with is part of a set also from the grandparent's house.

I guess we'll see how it pans out...
