I love pork... I'm going to go out with a bang tonight. My wife is making some pernil (roast pork shoulder) tonight and that will probbly be the last bit of pork I ever eat... hopefully.

Been reading up on the shit lately... it's pretty fucking disgusting (not taste wise).

On an unrelated note, I stopped eating chicken (and all animals with feathers) few years ago. Dunno why, it just got clarified as disgusting in my head out of sudden.

Gotta agree with Sly on this one. Turkey bacon is not a terrible taste. But nothing like Bacon. Pretty bland.

No it's not bad. My main complaint is that it doesn't seem to crisp like regular bacon does, maybe it needs to be cooked differently though.

What's the issue anyway? Just because they root around in their own feces?

Always hear people talk about pigs being disgusting animals, but I don't see the big deal. I've shot deer before and they stink of shit and urine when you've got to drag them out of the muddy field. All animals are basically filthy.

Big difference between deer and pig... in diet, anatomy, parasites they host, etc.
