46. Started smoking when I was 12 or so.

It's that Alcohol thing :1orglaugh I quit a long time ago, now I crave cigars when I drink excessively, makes for a hell of a hangover next day :pimp

I quit smoking about four years ago. Every so often I'll buy a pack, once or twice a year, and... every time it makes me sick.

Same thing with drinking. I quit drinking about the same time, and now cough medicine knocks me on my ass.

Not sure why anyone would start smoking in the first place. Congrats to those of you who were able to stop.

You will get very buzzed if you smoke after a long time of not smoking. You might only need to take a few puffs.

Just like JFK said below, high school. All my friends smoked. Back in the day it was the cool thing to do. It wasn't looked down at really; We had a smoking lounge for kids in the school. I started when I was 14 or 15, smoked for twenty years or so.

It's funny how different my life is. You don't notice how much it sucks until you quit. No more hacking for me.
