Do you think COLLEGE is a waste of time or a NECESSITY? (video)

Interesting view on the conventional wisdom behind college. I know how expensive college could be. I worked my way through college. I think it was still worth it but are there alternatives people are neglecting?

Necessity :2 cents:

without it, my knowledge of street drugs and alcohol would be very minimal :1orglaugh

The part about coaches making millions to coach college teams being a waste of money...

The athletes that graduate come back and put millions back into the college... just saying...

Education is important if you want to live a balanced life.

ok
gold, silver yada yada... I think the banksters won't allow their precious currency and stranglehold on the monetary system to just slip away to gold and silver hoarders

Depends on if you use college as a networking/social tool, otherwise no its a waste if you go to be a geek and get book learning. That's just dumb. I have a bachelor degree, lowest possible gpa to graduate though cause I spent my time doing useful stuff like porn

It depends what you're doing in life.

I'm 23 and take night classes at university, but don't see if contributing to my success at all.

University certainly could not have taught me how to make the $3000 a week I am currently making.

waste of time, thats why im doing it now, heh

Theo 05-18-2011 06:18 PM

it's extremely important

It depends on what you want to do. If you want to be a doctor, lawyer, engineer, teacher etc you have to go to college. I you want to work for yourself general business classes might help, but a degree likely isn't going to help you much. If you plan to just get a job and work your way up the ladder I still think a degree is helpful. I know a few different people that started working at companies and got promotions. Eventually they were told without a degree they couldn't go any further.

More and more I would encourage any kid to get a degree. It seems like the days of this country being a manufacturing company where a person can get a job and make a decent living right out of high school are coming to an end. The next wave is likely going to be more high tech and that requires an education.

I don't think it is, but i do wish i was in school longer now. I couldn't wait to finish, now i wish i took longer more difficult courses. :)

where else do you learn what sluts women really are?

Rochard 05-18-2011 08:24 PM

I read an article today that talked about six digit salaries that you don't need a degree for. One of them was air traffic controller. (Go figure, right?)

I went to college, and that degree paid off big time. Without it, I couldn't have been GM of ICS / Playboy.

GAMEFINEST 05-18-2011 08:24 PM

degree is important
