The group will determine its own direction once established, but I envision having gatherings in various Bay Area cities, where we could have a short meeting, people could share some info about their business, ask questions or provide answers, and address issues currently affecting us all in the industry.

Other than that, it would be an opportunity to socialize and bond with others in the region that work in the same field.

I'm in LA, but I visit the Bay Area several times a year... I used to live in SF and Marin, and am ashamed to say I shoot landscapes in Napa Valley when I'm not shooting porn. I'd like to attend one of your meetings sometime.

Sure, and nothing to be ashamed about shooting Napa Valley landscapes. A wine-tasting trip for the group might be a nice idea at some point... :thumbsup

I guess that I conceivably could bring models to a special event, however the gatherings would not be about me or my models.

Since I would be attending for business, I imagine I would be attending with others whom work with me on a regular basis (photographers, videographers, production assistants, make-up artists, etc), as opposed to models that I work with infrequently. I do have a few model friends that are also webmasters or have their own solo sites though. :)

I am hoping to set up the first gathering next week - prolly in downtown San Francisco, but we can start rotating it around, once we get some momentum going.. :)
