Photographers -- What lens do you guys use for glamor shots?
 

What is your favorite/'go to' lens -- both in the studio, and on location?

I use Canon 24-70 2.8L and 70-200mm 2.8L IS

nikon 85mm 1.4

I use the 35mm Indoor/Outdoor flash camera with Film when we shoot glamor stills. It's a Pro-image 9000. You can pick one up at Walgreens for 2$.

I have the Film developed then scan each still 1x1 and upload.

Models seem to laugh everyone i pull that one up :1orglaugh

I use Sony's new "Glam Lens"

there is only øne lense to use for true beauty 85mm nikkor 1.4

That is a sick lens. I use it, but not for porn.


My work horses for porn; 24-70mm and 70-200mm. When I shoot butt stuff I bring in the 14-24mm lens. All 2.8's


I have a lot of great primes, but i never use them for porn. My 28mm 1.4 is a sick lens.

is this the case for all nikon cameras? because on an aps-c sensor camera, the focal length of the 85mm lens gets blown out to ~110mm, losing your sweet distortion-free focal length nowhere to be found. i guess you could back up some eh. just wondering.

Those focal lengths are the best ( 24-70mm and 70-200mm ) all of my glass is L and 2.8 as well

Yo, you got a Nikon and you got my phone number, swing by my studio this week and I will let you use all of my all of my glass. You will be able to see what works for you and your camera before you buy. I got 12 different lenses, all Nikor/Nikon. You will know what you want by the end of the day.


I know you and I know you are a responsible stand up guy. You can shoot at the studio or take them to a near by park.
