This is how easy it is to hack a WIFI connection

If you have a neighbor with high speed internet connection, lets say more than 5 mbps connection attached to his router, you would obviously like to use it, yes ?

tools needed

Aircrack-NG

1. Install commview than copy and paste "cv.exe" to the directory which you have just installed.

Hint: Goto ==> C:\program files\commviewwifi

2. Open commview and install the driver to a card. It will detect a card to its own, and it is extremly important that you must have 1 card connected to commview.

3. click on Rules tab and select "enable advanced rules".

4. Type "tods=1 and dmac=FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF" in the box Formula and give a name to your Formula than click on Add/edit.

5. Now Go to Setting>options>memory usage and select max buffer packets to 20000 (max). On the main bar of commview uncheck all the check bar except a bar with a name "capture data packets".

6. Now Scan the network which you want to crack and select it when you find it than click on capture button.

8. It will now show the sign of limited connectivity. So go back to your commview menu and click on packets tab there you should see a couple of packets.

9. Now concentrate on Protocol column you will find some packets with the name IP/UDP, ARP REQ along with some other packets. Right click on ARP REQ and than select send packet.

10. After this a small menu will appear, here change packets per second to 2000 than send it.

11. Now go back to commview menu and uncheck the rule which you made in rules tab.

12. Congratulations you are now connected with the WiFi of your neighbor and downloaded one of your favourite movies Braveheart with your neighbor's high speed internet.

I have left out some of the steps and tools for obvious reasons.

Next up Facebook hacks :)

12 steps?! sounds too complicated :( :1orglaugh

woj 05-23-2011 08:08 AM

which wireless encryption protocols does that crack? just the older stuff?

Scott McD 05-23-2011 08:16 AM

I'd rather just fuck the Milf that lives next door to me. She can keep her connection... :winkwink:

DamianJ 05-23-2011 08:17 AM

/me goes to Lightspeed's crib and starts downloading all his porn using his wifi so he can send himself a quasiblackmail letter

:D

It can be done with both depending on what tools you download

Most home and small business networks are encrypted using WEP and WPA Wep is the older of the two but is still used

WPA or WiFi Protected Access comes in WPA and WPA2

It dont matter how much security you use or have if its broadcast over the air there is always a risk of it being intercepted

lol there are steps missing from that inclucing tools which you would need to hack into encrypted passwords

Also over here I know people who dont even need to hack into other peoples connections because they are wide open and dont even know it. I know a girl who only uses her neighbours connection cause she aint got her own, but she can only pick it up by sitting near the window lol

I could point you to a number of websites that have tools for a lot of Routing Protocols and brute force attacking tools to gain access.. but I wont lol

ottopottomouse 05-23-2011 08:52 AM

Just need all that as an android app now.

Paul&John 05-23-2011 09:12 AM

Does it cracks routers where clients MAC addresses are manually allowed? (so there is a permit list with all the MACs allowed to connect)

Mac filtering is old and is even easy to hack into.. Why? becuase they do not use encryption for the addresses while travling between your laptop and your wireless access point. Sniffers are used to get mac addresses which you can then mask to behave as one of the adresses which are allowed

Sounds kind of like a scummy thing to do.

I would say "no" (just an uneducated guess)

There are still plenty of little tricks just like that one in the admin of all new routers.

Stuff that used to take a degree in computer technology is now available in a very user-friendly interface gui to do shit like that at the touch of a button.

I have a D Link router. And I set it up manually of course...but it had an auto setup with some kind of "one button" click that you set up on each computer so it only allows the computers with the correct MAC onto the network.

I also was recently thinking about upgrading to a fancy-schmancy router so I was looking at linkysys and netgear websites at stuff too. They all have a version of that "one click" set up.

Can't get much easier than that. I suspect that as each day goes by and older routers are thrown away and more people want to get the faster "N" wireless...there will be more and more people with new routers using that "one click" set up to only allow the MAC addresses of their homes onto the network. And less and less "open" wireless systems.

Just go to Best Buy and buy a wireless router and you'll see what I'm talking about. They give you a big instruction poster sized paper with cartoon giant sized instructions warning you NOT to leave it open and how to click that one button to take care of it all. (and yes, it's a physical button on the router...and if you are using the corresponding usb adapter at the computer end...it too has a physical button on it)

Yeah, if you have some geek guy living next door who is determined to hack into wifi...you are doomed. lol

Same as if you live next door to a guy determined to steal your car or break into your house.

It's not very likely though. But it is possible.

I've used wifi since it first came out (and believe me it was NOT easy setting that up on old windows 98)...I've never had my wifi hacked at home or office (yeah, I keep an eye on what devices are on my network...check it 3 o4 times a day just for the hell of it)

lol its also pretty easy to hack into mobile phones specially with the bluetooth All you need is a cellphone whith Java MIDP 2.0, CLDC 1.0 and bluetooth Most people leave thier bluetooth on anyway so most of the times you dont even need the blue magic hack tool and yep there are ways you can use other people phones to make sms calls and have it charged to thier accounts

iamtam 05-23-2011 09:35 AM

of course nobody mentions that cv.exe might just be collecting all that data to send to someone else.

The honest truth is most people dont even know that thier internet connection is being used by somebody else and 9/10 you dont even need to hack into any passwords to use somebody elses connection

lol at Commview all the security experts use it to suposedly moniter their traffic bet they are using it for scanning access points too

To make people aware of how easy it is to use somebody elses Wifi connection

And facebook hacks are easy you only need FTP keylogger and an account on any website which supports FTP keylogger.

I've always found bluetooth to be a real battery raper and only have it on to transfer something out of the phone.

Bluejacking used to be funny though :upsidedow

Rochard 05-23-2011 10:07 AM

Why bother? Very few people secure their wireless connections.

lol yeah i remember the good old days of phreaking (phone hacking) its not as common now as it used to be although there are groups in the UK who are tying to revive it again

SpicyM 05-23-2011 10:38 AM

Is it possible to access other computers in the network through the hacked connection?

You missed out step 7 and a few at the end too.

Commview or iwep lite for WiFi

iWep Key Recovery

7. Now use your spare adapter and try to connect with password protected network. If it asks you for key than you can randomly type any thing e.g 556677881 or abcdefgh.

12. The number of Packets will now rise quickly. save the packets. You need to save every 20000 packets, To save the packet simply goto file than save and remember the name of place where you saved it. save it as "dump" .cap file, instead of saving it as ncf file.

13. Extract Aircrack-NG and open aircrack-ng-GUI which is present in the map "bin" than click on launch after selecting the files which you saved in your previous step.

14. Select the network from the list of IV's to hack it. From the list of IV's i will suggest you to choose the network with high IV's.

nation-x 05-23-2011 11:04 AM

My cable bill is $70 per month

If you can't pay $70 per month and need to steal from your neighbor you have more problems than lack of internet access
