first thing is it my ethics or your ethics or societal ethics...? by most standards I have already traded my ethics for money by producing hardcore porn. would I kill my daughter for 100 million? nope...

Need to be more specific... there are social morals, business morals, personal morals, etc.

If by ethics you mean the "non-aggression principle": The idea that every human being is master of his own body and his property and that he is free to do with his body or property whatever he wants as long a she doesn't cause damage to another human being or his body. Then no amount of money on earth could ever tempt me to violate that principle.

That's up to you. I know job wise and family there is no amount of money.

There aren't normative "ethics" or a normative "morality", that is the real problem.

$100 million would absolutely change your life and probably the lives of everyone around you. And so would killing someone, stranger or not.

So then you are left with the question: is that $100 million worth a life of probable misery?

I think it would entirely depend on what moral/ethic I was being faced with disregarding and the amount. Some things, especially concerning family, just cannot be compromised for any amount. I would still have to live with myself, look in the mirror every day
