When did you last check your back ups? [PSA]
 

I needed to wipe my gf's iMac. I was about to reinstall the OS when I thought, I'll just *check* her back up before I nuke and pave.

She uses Time Machine on it, and I checked, and it hadn't backed up since January.

So, this time, we were lucky and I could do another back up before wiping. But if I hadn't she'd have lost an awful lot of pictures.

The lesson = check your back ups. You might not be as lucky we were!

Thanks for the reminder, I'm going to spend a few hours today and get a proper backup done of all my sites and family photos. The rest I can lose.

I have my shit backed up locally, I have that local back up backed up and I have it in the cloud too.
