To a friend, riding buddy (we both have sportbikes) and work partner, we're gonna miss you.

We helped Preslee last year when he was just getting into the biz, and I just talked to him yesterday, just 3 hours before the crash. A good kid... Godspeed, buddy!

According to wftv.com, the accident that killed 22-year-old adult performer Preslee Bangs was not a head-on collision. Also, the report stated that two motorcyclists were killed in the accident, which happened at about 10:30 p.m. Thursday.

"According to reports, the truck was in the left turn lane on Sand Lake Road when a motorcycle driven by 29-year-old Carl Simmons struck the right rear of the truck," the article stated. "Parts of the motorcycle continued across the road, hitting a traffic signal pole. [Florida Highway Patrol] says the second motorcycle also hit the truck. The 22-year-old driver has not yet been identified. Both motorcyclists were treated at the scene and taken to a hospital, where they later died."

The driver of the truck was reportedly uninjured.

Get the fuck out of here! Preslee shot for me recently for the first time. I just chatted with him yesterday and booked him for a shoot on Wednesday. I remember talking to him at the last shoot about how damgerous I thought it was to drive down to Miami on a motorcyle from Orlando with all the traffic, trucks, road debris, intermittent rain showers, insect swarms and all the other hazards.

Met up with him in Ft. Lauderdale a couple of weeks ago and he told me he rode down... but, as a fellow rider, I didn't think much of it. He sat in on a shoot we did (he wasn't in it, but stayed behind the scenes).

He was going to a local Bike Night last night when I last talked to him... I've lost a few friends recently... really sucks. Think I'm gonna sell my bike and stick to four wheels or the water...

Maybe so... but I wasn't there so not gonna speculate. He had a Honda CBR 1000 (I have a Suzuki GSXR 1000), so we tend to twist the throttle every now and then...

I saw that story. His friend was a young, good looking black kid, Navy veteran, wife 4 months pregnant, loved his bike and rode with a local club.

I won't generalize here but almost every rice-rocket club I have ever seen rides like there is competition between the members. Pretty sad, both young men with a lot of living that won't happen.

Ride safe. Compete on the track.
