dual CPU with 8 cores (only Intel processor)
or
4 CPU with 4 cores (only Intel)

basically I need 16 real cores on the server

32 GB of RAM
300GB HDD

500mbps bandwidth commit per server

1000mbps uplink
ethernet card:
Intel® 82575EB Dual-Port Gigabit Ethernet Controller

That is indeed. However, now a days you are seeing more of these types of custom requests because of the need to stream media files, and amount of storage needed for them. I have also noticed a trend in people consolidating their 2+ servers into super servers with RAID plus all of the bells and whistles.
